    Let's send down Lee and Ramirez with him. Weren't you the poster who jinxed Marshall last night? If you just could have held off on rubbing in Marshall's good outing an inning or two longer it could have been a different game. :D HA! Touche. Piniella's idiotic decision to play the infield in during a tie games in the SIXTH INNING did more damage than anything else. Yeah...that accounted for like 3 runs all by itself...

    Yeah...I was thinking this last night...what the hell is up with Lee just watching pitches go by? Last night in several at bats he looked like a little league kid who's afraid to hit and is just hoping for a walk

    Well...at least the brewers took it in the beer can tonight...but damn...it woulda been nice to win one of these last two games...we're very lucky to only be one back....when do our guys start hitting again?

    Murton should play tonight right? I mean, Williams has a red tinge to his hair, so Murton has to have a good read on him. Oh, wait, Dusty left last year.... Yeah, I've got no idea at all why he won't play tonight, but I'd guess he wont.

    Kendall has not been our problem of late.... Now that we won't be seeing Reyes and Castillo at the top of the line up it will be even less of an issue...

    This is about the only thing that half way makes sense to me... If they don't want to mess with the line up they could go Patterson 2b Theriot SS Lee 1b Ramirez 3b Floyd/Murton RF Jones CF DeRosa LF Kendall C Pitcher.... Otherwise, it all would sure seem to fit a lot better with Pie.

    What'd he be at if you chalked up the first 2 games of that 1-5 start as flying accross country and getting situated with a new team? probably pretty solid.

    I was one who wanted to give him a chance before declaring him the 2nd coming of Jose Macias.....I think he's showing he can give us what we'll need from the spot.

    Why do you EVER bring your closer in during a non save situation? And then to add that you've got a fresh arm in the pen that would really lift the crowd...I don't complain about Lou much...but this is bad.

    that's probably more of a statement about the quality of the other guys than it is about kendall Maybe so...but for about 2 weeks now he's got on at a great pace...for the last week hitting .313 with a .421 OBP...he's not nearly as awful as some would have made him out 3 weeks ago.

    If you told me this now I'd call you crazy. He hit .288 with a .368 OBP in July...for him, in Center...that's acceptible in my book. With absolutely no power whatsoever beyond the six doubles. I expect more out of Jones. While it's better than what he was doing, I still don't quite consider it acceptable. Told you Jacque was hitting acceptable :D

    August 3rd. Cubs in 1st. Kerry Wood pitching. Zambrano pitching like an Ace. Jacque Jones putting up acceptable offensive #s. If you would have told me all of these things would be true 2.5 months ago I'd have called you crazy.

    I want to see 7 strong from Z where he throws 100 pitches...a dominiant inning from Wood and then a quick 1-2-3 from Howry (b/c we're up by 7) :D
