    Since I am on vacation and this thread hasn't been started yet I figured that I would start it. I'll be watching at my sisters house in the north shore suburbs. Edit: The game should be on FOX, in the dome in Detroit.     In my money league. I am matched up with the top team in the league. He has LT2 and LJ (both were keepers). He was beaten once in week 2 (I beat him) . I want this win for bragging rights. My dilemma is DST. I have the Ravens and they have a top DST in our league. We get 5 points per INT and 2 points per sack. DST can score a lot. Week 13 the Ravens play the Bengals on Thursday night. I have CJ and Palmer. INT's and sacks would cancel out. The problem is that CJ, Palmer and Ravens DST have been carrying me to 8-3-1 and second place in the standings. Do I risk benching Palmer or Ravens DST? anything Palmer or CJ does would be canceled out my DST not scoring ( points are also scored based on points and yards allowed). I just don't like either matchup. I could go with Leinart (@STL) or Jets (@GB) Starters: Palmer, Carson QB CIN Jones, Thomas RB CHI Parker, Willie RB PIT Johnson, Chad WR CIN Edwards, Braylon WR CLE Wilkins, Jeff K STL Ravens, DST Reserves: Leinart, Matt QB ARI Green, Trent QB KC Rhodes, Dominic RB IND Norwood, Jerious RB ATL Mason, Derrick WR BAL Moulds, Eric WR HOU Smith, Rod WR DEN Jets, DST Injured: Davis, Domanick RB HOU

    Thank you very much. I'll be here all day. Help is on it's way in 2007. Why does anyone think this guy is a good QB? Because he is? (I'm assuming you're talking about Quinn.) He played pretty damn good yesterday. His stats were ruined by about 7 drops of perfectly thrown balls, and he was jumping around avoiding sacks all game and still did nothing to lose the game. Not his fault the defense blows and his receivers crapped out in the biggest game of the year. No. I'm talking about Brooks... I don't give a damn about Quinn. Brooks = horrible. I don't know why anybody would think he's a good QB. I think Cuse is talking about the Raiders drafting a QB and he assumed Quinn.

    I second that I'm sure that he was talking about the Giants game. Too bad Soul wasn't. To be technically correct the Jets game was 'this week' not 'last week'. The week starts on Sunday. I forgot about the Jets game since I didn't get to watch it. FWIW the Bears are better off playing a little conservative. Grossman is still a little inexperienced but you have to continue to play him. Rivers had 2 full seasons to practice while Grossman spent those seasons rehabbing.

    I say give each Soriano, Jones and Murton some time in CF during spring training see if they can handle it and maybe trade Jones for some pitching once Pie is ready at the deadline.

    the trend is abbreviations on uniforms. The Devil Rays sport 'Rays', the Blue Jays just 'Jays', the White Sox= 'Sox'.

    I went to 2 games yesterday. The first one was at Pheonix Stadium (A's spring training facility). The Pheonix Desert Dogs (A's, Reds, Tigers, Blue Jays, Devil Rays) played the Javalinas(Mariners, Marlins, Braves, Red Sox). As the team took the field they played 'who let the dogs out'. Notable players were Michael Garciaparra (SS),and Matt Tuiososopo(3B) both with the Mariners. Lots of scouts were there. The players wore the uniform for their parent club and cap/helmet for the team. The second game was a short drive to Scottsdale and there were many of the same people in the stands. Dusty Baker has a plaque at the stadium for managing the 1992 Scottsdale Scorpions. Both Eric Patterson and Scott Moore walked and each stole a base in the first inning leading to a run without a hit. The guys sitting behind me kept commenting on a lady cheering every ball or strike that went the Scorpions way. The scoreboard operator fell asleep a couple of times not counting an out or a run in the 5th and the final run in the ninth wasn't counted on the scoreboard. The announcer even said the final score was 7-2.

    I plan on taking Wednesday off of work and heading up to Pheonix for 2 games that day. Haven't decided if I am going to Peoria or Phoenix for game 1, but game 2 will be Mesa @ Scottsdale.

    The deal with the wild card is that a hot team usually wins it. That hot team advances through the playoffs. If they went to a 2-1-2 format for the first round involving the wild card team that would give an advantage to the top seeded team. The main reason for not having teams in the same division play in the first round is so that you can have a Yankees/Red Sox ALCS.

    I need tickets to this game. Stupid sellouts. With the way the Cardinals season is going maybe I can get tickets cheap.
