  1. the big murt??? that is too frank thomas-ish...and it turns out the big hurt was a tool....
  2. pick the one you like best....
  3. see my sig please.....
  4. LOL  While the approximate value is true, Jones was not bought by currency but rather bartered for a few Atari 2600 cartriges marked "as is". "Jacque is a terrific guy, and we'll wish him all the best in the future," said Cubs GM Jim Hendry of the deal. "However when weighing his contributions to our ballclub, we felt that even the possibility of playing such classic titles as Centipede or Missile Command would in the long term prove to be a tremendous asset to the team." Many fans may be surprised to learn that this is not the first time Hendry, a self-described "old-school" gamer, has dealt players for video games. To complete the December trade that sent Jermaine Van Buren to the Red Sox, the Cubs acquired from Boston a Power Pad accessory for the NES. That trade proved to be a bust when Jerry Hairston, thinking it would improve his performance at Super Team Games, wore his cleats on the Power Pad, effectively ruining it. "Sock feet only! It says so right there on the pad! I mean, come on!" responded a visibly-shaken Juan Pierre.
  5. since i spent 1/2 the day there to get a brick, it would have been smarter for me to just get it off the 'bay....which i would have hated to do....
  6. I saw a couple of guys walk out holding stacks of stadium flags that they had bought. i asked the people working there, and they said the bases were gone in 10 mins, would have been sooner, but they could not write them up that fast. the cub flags and "W" flags gone within 15 mins. bats gone within 30 mins....i dont mean to sound like a baby, but i would have been nice to see some other ppl walk away with a stadium flag, not guys with armfuls... dont get me wrong, its a great idea, but it could have been handled better IMO
  7. not sure, but you could buy upto 50 bricks...
  8. i was there too...it was a huge success for the cubs, not so much for the fans, unless you were first in line. i got there at 8am, and did not get to the memoribilia area till after standing in line for 45 mins....there was nothing really good left....all the bases were gone, bats gone, good flags gone, good jeresys gone...and the stuff left was not cheap $150 for a koronka jersey....but i did get a brick for $25 so i guess it was not a total loss. i was talking to a guy in line he was in the second group in, he said that people were just grabbing everything.... i think they should have had limits, so everyone would get a chance for the good stuff.... oh well....at least i got a brick!!
  9. is there any info on the cubs site....i cant find any.... thanks
  10. im sure ive missed it already, but can anyone give me details about the wrigley field garage sale...and what will/was sold?? thanks---
  11. oh and i thought barrett was gonna smak him in the face....my bad...
  12. Yup. In its entirety. that is worth the price right there......no doubt
  13. is the brant brown error call on the cd???
  14. it is actually series 14.... 13. Ironic that Lee's figure is fielding when he's coming off his best offensive season, and Aramis' figure is running when he's coming off a season where he missed a month due to leg injuries.
  15. maybe corey will be our lead off guy
  16. huh...whats that supposed to mean???
  17. do they reserve the better seats for season ticket holders??? or is it so many rows in each section?? or what?? im just wondering....and if i got a number say......in the 1000's....how many years are we talking?? for real??? I doubt 100 section seats would really be available when you do get the chance. Plus, they'd be quite expensive. Your best bet might be decent and unobstructed terrace reserve seats slightly out of the infield. I wonder if the Cubs are going to start offering more season tickets in the bleachers.
  18. well, i guess i want him to earn it in spring training...but i guess i was asking if he is a viable option....
  19. I think he has proven he is good enough, and his numbers so far in AFL are great.....anyone else have any input??
  20. so i was wondering if anyone has any season tix info...i got a pretty low number a couple years ago...has anyone gotten tix lately and what number where they?? also, should i hold out for 100 level seats, or just get what i can get?? any and all info is appricated.... thanks
