    Guess I just read the Hatch part and my brain pulled a "this doesn't look like anything to me" with the Miller part. But yeah good night for me the 2016 pitching. Nah, I bet you read it before I added the Miller part. Tseng is just 22, in repeating AA. He went 5 4 1 1 0 7 tonight. 73-47 strikes, 4-1 ground outs to fly out. Yet another good start tonight. Mills is getting roughed up in the 4th though. Mills gave up lots of deep fly balls in the 3rd too.

    Candelario made an excellent play, showing off his arm at 3rd in the 3rd inning, then scalded a ball into the shift. He's been excellent tonight. Caratini blasts a triple.

    Candelario grand slam. Also all of Iowa has a great eye at the plate. Also... whoever batted 1st for Iowa (Andreoli) led off with a double to the gap.

    This. I, for one, do not miss the days of desperate hopes of guys like Eric Jokisch, Wes Darvill, Jae Hoon Ha, and Robert Whitenack could blossom into serviceable-ish big leaguers. Did another team take a flyer on your fandom?

    That's okay, SEC Spring Games have to be soon. I'm sure his broadcasting duties will keep him away for a while. The SEC is just a reminder that at A-ball, he's not even facing the same level of competition that Florida's college baseball team does. It's a reminder that he couldn't make an SEC baseball team.

    I'm pretty sure I know who it is. All over twitter now. It's underwood from ok state. Omg several years of dealing with what I saw yesterday is completely scary. Dude is a school jumper though, 1 year at OK State and he's gone again THis is a lateral move. I'll be happy Underwood is gone though.

    There was a game early in the season in I think 2004, Cubs @ Cardinals. A few friends and I decided to get tickets and drive to St. Louis the weekend before finals my 2nd semester of college. We dtove the 10 hours to get to St. Louis from Norman, OK. Boring, thoroughly unexciting drive. It rained at the game, a lot, then a bit more. We thought we were gonna drive 20 hours round trip to see a postponed game. But they got it in. Jim Edmonds struck out in the final AB as a PH in a Cubs win.

    the only thing i can think of is that he actually buys into his own horsefeathers about inspiring people and he thinks his awfulness is a net-positive somehow. "Look, maybe I don't make it, and that's ok, because that little boy out there" etc "God told me that I was great at everything, especially baseball."
