    Dodgers win. Phillies still stuck in extras with the Nationals. Seriously, like the Astros, you can pretty much put a fork in the Phils if they lose tonight.

    Cards win. The Reds are all but done. Meanwhile, the Dodgers can climb to a game behind the Padres if they hold on against the Rockies. Houston is playing for their playoff lives, locked in a life-or-death struggle with the Pirates in extras.

    Well, how about that. Meanwhile, the Gnats have tied it up once again in the bottom of the 10th against the Phils. Baseball is crazy.

    Phillies take the lead 6-5 on an Abraham Nunez double in the top of the 10th in Washington.

    I have them on my fantasy team, and yeah they are that good. Especially Duncan. He came up earlier in the year, struggled a bit, got sent down again, and this time is just raking the ball. This guy can hit homeruns like nobody's business. Luke Scott could just be an aberration at this point, but I think Duncan is for real. Well, I kind of misspoke when I describe Luke Scott as young. He's 28, but he's been damn good. Chris Duncan, on the other hand, is 25 and has been playing far and above what his minor league numbers would suggest. I really have a hard time believing he has legitimate 40 homerun power, but leave it to the Cardinals to strike paydirt on a decent (but rather pedestrian) 25 year old prospect.

    Tom Gordon just blew a save by walking in a run. Nats still batting with the bases loaded and 1 out in the bottom of the 9th against the Phils.

    Tom Gordon trying to close the door for the Phillies as they hold on to a precarious 1 run lead. Dodgers score 2 runs in the top of 6th on a 2 run triple by JD Drew to close the gap. Rockies up 4-3.

    Meanwhile, Dave Roberts is batting for the Padres in the top of the 7th with a runner on second and one out. PS: I hate Dusty. Edit: Nothing comes of it. Cards/Pads go to the bottom of the 7th tied 1-1.

(PS: Anyone notice that two of the younger players of our division rivals, Chris Duncan and Luke Scott, have been off the charts? They can't really be that good can they?) Luke Scott ties the game. Unbelievable.
