I don't know how much more clearly I can make my point, but I'll try one last time. Ryan Theriot is the Cubs starting shortstop. Ronny Cedeno is the backup middle infielder. When the starter is doing his job, and playing a lot better than he's expected to, he's not going to get benched. Nor should he. What kind of message does that send to the rest of the team, when the starter gets benched after playing great for the first month of the season? By the way, Theriot is 1-1 with a stolen base and a run so far tonight. Cedeno is 0-1 with a weak tapper back to third base. I know, I know... sample size. You know you lost an argument when you begin your counterargument by pointing out spelling errors. You know you're reading a sethuel post in Baseball Discussions when it's only one line, and not about the actual baseball discussion. Seriously, try and add something of value sometime.
