  1. Not as annoying as the Kerry Wood-Joey Cora (Dodgers at the time) match up where Kerry threw 20 pitches in the at-bat only to serve up a HR. or Farnsworth vs Julio Franco Oh man I had forgotten all about that. Now that you mention it though, it's weird... I can remember exactly where I was when watching it.
  2. Yeah, and guess who pitched that day...Doc. No, he pitched the day before. Shawn Camp started that game. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=280720130
  3. Honestly, who didn't see that K coming?
  4. Didn't see it mentioned here, but this ESPN article says that Cuban is the high bidder at 1.3 billion.
  5. I agree with your 2nd sentence. As for your first one, that's some fuzzy logic.
  6. Man, adding Halladay to this rotation would be sick.
  7. It sure doesn't seem like he does.
  8. You're absolutely right. You honestly believe that? Would you have anymore satisfaction as a fan if the Cubs had managed to pull one out in 69 or 75 or 84 or any other year? Who the hell cares? I was commenting more on the bolded part... that at the end of the year, it doesn't mean anything to win your division if you don't win the World Series.
  9. Why is that funny? You've got one of the slowest guys on the team at the plate, a lefty with a great pickoff move, and a lefty at the plate who strikes out a ton and is bad against LHP. Cause Lou isn't the one who got picked off. Do you blame Lou when Derrek grounds into a double play?
  10. It's not completely his fault but you have to question the hit and run. Even if you thought it was a worthwhile endeavor to hit and run, doing so with Ramirez, who doesn't steal ever and probably would be easily fooled by Davis' pick off move and with Fuku, who hasn't hit well lately, isn't the best idea. I think it was a poor call too, but it's hardly Lou's fault that Aramis doesn't know how to tell when a pitcher is throwing to first as opposed to throwing home.
  11. LOL at blaming Lou on that one. Wow. Just wow.
  12. God it'd be nice if Geo didn't blow with runners on.
  13. What? You do realize a rundown has taken way too long when the batter makes it to 2nd, right? In general, yes. But when the runner in the rundown has decent speed, the runner going from first to second has very good speed, and the players trying to track the runner down (Ramirez, Soto, and Lilly) are slow... then no, I wouldn't say it was botched at all.
  14. Thank you Geo for allowing it to be 4-3. Catch the damn ball.
  15. Lilly just stole third base, that's awesome!
  16. Thanks for running hard Sori, we appreciate it.
