Well, according to Dusty's post game comments, Corey wont be hitting leadoff anymore. That's a start. But Neif's been hitting the ball harder than anyone according to him, so I guess he'll stay at the top.

Oh we can more than contend with Patterson. But Dusty right now is not putting Patterson in a position to even succeed. Dusty should sit him for a few games. Let him catch his breath. And then exclusivly bat him in the 7th hole. Don't put the pressure of leading off on him and don't try to turn him into something he is not. I think it's at the point where Corey just isn't going to be successful in Chicago. He's the new LaTroy Hawkins.

I keep having to emphasize that giving Neifi's splits for June does a disservice to his suckitude. check the stats since the return from California. 13 for 87 with 2 walks... wow. Those numbers sure do warrant him batting at the top of the order, don't they?

Found these numbers while looking over some stats just now... Neif's OBP in May was .283 and in June it was .248. That's pathetic for any hitter, but especially for a guy hitting first or second. Corey's OBP in May was .311 and in June it was .211. Yes, .211. Hey Dusty, you should keep those guys at the top of the order. Freakin idiot.

Good. Someone within the Cubs organization needs to step up and say it. Patterson has been horrible this year but in no way is Todd Hollandsworth getting anywhere near the production that is needed out of a corner outfield spot. I don't really care what position they play as far as their production is concerned. All I care about is winning games, and it's pretty clear that Todd is helping us to win games more than Corey is. Now, if we can upgrade in left, I'd love to do it, don't get me wrong. But at this point, I don't think the Cubs will contend with Patterson playing everyday. well you are right and wrong. They need to upgrade, but they will contend because the pitchign is that good. I disagree, I don't think our offense is good enough to support our great pitching. And that doesn't make me "wrong" either. That's my opinion. ok calm down I was just saying in my opinios you were wrong. reguardless I think if Jim stands pat until the dealine we should just be sellers anyways. I think our pitchign will keep us close though even with this crap offense. Oh I'm calm man, no worries there.
