    Oh my God... Macias is starting over Hairston? What a freaking joke. And I'm glad that Corey is starting. Afterall, he's 0-4 against Smoltz in his career - gotta get him those at bats.

    Hey, that's not a bad idea. Maybe that would not only get the cubbies going, but get recenlty doom-and-gloom attitude outta the way. I'm usually a very positive person. . . this season is dang near about to ruin me. I hear ya man. I'm usually one of the happiest guys you'll meet, but I've noticed that when I watch Cubs games this year, it's not even fun. I'm usually complaining about something or pissed about a stupid Dusty move. And it's carried over to my non-Cubs life too. There's obviously one solution to this problem... fire Dusty. Good, I'm not the only one. I am not excited about this team, at all. Its almost a chore to watch games anymore. Its not even half fun. I work with a bunch of rowdy Cardinal fans. Early in the season when they talked their trash, I fired back. Recently though, I've just kind of shrugged it off. I don't even have the desire to defend my team anymore. It's pretty sad.

    Right. Corey: .235/.273/.386/.659 Hank White: .157/.178/.257/.435 Blanco had a better June... And on a different note... as I look at Blanco's stats, MLB.com says that his average in June was .200 and his OBP was .190... is it even possible for an OBP to be lower than a player's average??

    Hairston gets on base three times in each of the last two games, and Dusty benches him. He should be fired right now for that alone. That is COMPLETELY inexcusable.

    Hollandsworth hit a single up the middle, Burnitz took a wide turn around second, slipped, and was caught in a rundown. Ah okay. I was thinking that he got picked off again like the other day. Well, let's get em tomorrow! Oh wait... Corey is starting tomorrow. So that means that Hairston wont start. I'd be pretty pissed if I got on base three times for two straight games and then didn't start the next day.

    I missed the game, and the recap on Cubs.com is pretty weak... Burnitz got picked off AGAIN?! How'd that happen? Hairston was on base three times, yet Corey is going to start tomorrow?!

    Amazing. How the...wow... 10th in the AL among 1B in AVG 6th in the AL among 1B in OBP 4th in the AL among 1B in SLG 10th, 6th, and 4th and he's somehow an All Star? I don't think he belongs. The justification I heard on the radio today is that he is the leader of the team. And the team has the best record in baseball. Of course, this was in between comments about trading Wood for Carl Crawford and moving Burnitz to center so Hairston could play right so take it with a grain of salt. Ah, the intangibles huh? I didn't know he was still leading the league in Clubhouse Presence.
