  1. That's what it looks like. I am going to look at some of the other teams ST broadcast schedules to see if it matches with the games the Cubs don't broadcast. I really do want to watch the Cubs play all their games this ST and mlb.tv seems to be the way to do it! I don't think all the spring training dates are to be broadcast on mlb.tv like the Cubs' calendar schedule says. When you click on the mlb.tv link on the calendar it takes you to the mlb.tv page and their schedule only has the Saturday game (which is already on WGN) listed as being the only Cubs' broadcast for this week. I think putting the mlb.tv link on every date is a just another way to shill for the service. I could always be wrong though and I would be very happy to be so in this case.
  2. The White Sox are split squad today. Hmm, that can't be, I know the Sox had 2 runs on the board a few innings ago. Then again, MLB Scoreboard says the A's lead 7-4. Oh yeah, they played the Rockies yesterday. I think they are actually playing the Diamondbacks now. I the real score is 5-2 AZ I'm afraid you might be in the wrong. I'm watching MLB.TV and the Rockies just finished the game 8-1. Which means the Sox have been held to 2 runs over the first two games vs. the Rockies. Also, the Rockies broadcasters are really quite good and quite knowledgeble. How can that be? I'm listening to the Sox game right now on 670 AM. It's 5-2
  3. The Cardinals use the same virtual waiting room system. That coupled with the fact that they've already sold a fair amount of tickets via group plans and season tickets could make it pretty difficult.
  4. JEALOUS! I want just 4 to the 4/8 game. I gotta nice collection of magnet schedules dating back to 2000. I'll probably be going with a couple Cards fans, so if you really want one, I could mail one to you. Hey Mizzou, If you pick up any extra magnets that day, I'd like one.
  5. The new confirmation process kinda sucks. I didn't put the Street part in my address and it kept rejecting my card until I typed it in. But so far I've gotten 2 dates that I wanted. 2 more to go.
  6. Ha! Missourians said "screw you" when billionaires attempted to strong arm the taxpayers into financing a new stadium, the only purpose of which is to increase revenue for said billionaires. Don't get me wrong, I love the Cardinals with all my heart, but tax money, especially in a time of huge budget deficits, should not go to building cash cows for private billionaires and their millionaire employees. The city of St. Louis will benefit greatly from the new stadium. Don't kid yourself. The owners are to thank for that. You're one of those people who wants nothing but the very best, as long as somebody else is paying for it. But why should the rest of the state have to pay for it?
  7. THE CY YOUNG IS NOT A TEAM AWARD! Wow, it's like talking to the wall here. No, it's not a team award, but should be based on how much you help your team, in my opinion. By the logic, you should be arguing Donetrelle should win the Cy Young. Because not only has he put up pretty high numbers on the mound but his bat has been key for the Marlins also.
  8. I also believe the a stipulation in the "drink a gallon of milk in an hour" is that it has to be whole milk. Anything less than whole milk can be done with little problem.
  9. It still could be for Gerut. I believe until the paperwork is finalized a player can still play for the original team like Gonzo still playing the day we got Nomar. If this is true and it's a deal of Lawton for Gerut, I think we got the better of the Pirates yet again.
  10. What is the motivation to trade Matsui or Mench from their respective teams? I'd say its incredibly unlikely they'd come here either as well. Their motivation would be to get young pitching. I don't mean necesarily those three players. I was using them as examples of the kind of impact players that Walt might get. Those just happen to be the three players I would most like to see in a Cardinals uniform. And what young pitching would you have the Cards give up? Because I look at your cupboard as being farely bare and what little you do have to give up, parting with now would only further hurt you down the line. What players are you willing to give up and/or would you realistically see being traded for an "impact player"?
  11. I just got through again. I got tickets for September 15 and 16. Anybody who's having no luck at all want me to try to get something for them?
  12. Anybody gotten through in the last 45 minutes?
  13. Yeah I had some success a little before 11 and have been waiting since then.
  14. I have about 60 windows open right now, so that probably helps. For some reason if I get up to 70 my computer locks up. Last year I had over a hundred open at once. It seems like the vwr are running smoother with the 30 sec. countdowns since the Red Sox games sold out.
  15. I got tickets for August 27 and 28. I can't wait to see Ryne's number retired.
  16. Mizzou, I'm in Columbia, Mo too. Depending on if friends crap out on me when the games roll around, I may end up with tickets if you're interested.
  17. Virtual waiting room now says there's only scattered single seating for the Saturday Red Sox game.
  18. I've gotten through twice. I've got tickets for the home opener and the June 11 Red Sox game. I think the June 12th game might be sold out. The biggest pain is getting the "We're sorry..." message once you get through.
  19. Hey the year before I saw the Cubbies-Cards on my b-day (September 2) and that was the game Sammy hit the walk-off homer in extra innings.
  20. No luck for me yet this year. Last year by 11:00 I had 2 games against the Astros and 2 games against the Cards. Of course all of those games that I went to the Cubs lost.
