This is a bad bad bad idea. I liked the way MLB have created the oppiturnity for the 3 divisions and the WC. I think it generated more interest that way instead of just 2 divisions and just playing the league championship. There's no logical explaination for a 9 game series with 2 being on a neutral site. It's a waste of time, waste of money, and more importantly, a waste of effort, IMHO. There is nothing wrong with baseball right now, other than the fact that the MLB Commish really needs to hand over the reign to someone who can and will make baseball a better sport in the future. I mean, MLB have so much potentional, but as long as Bud is running the show, MLB will never reach it's potentional.

I hope that is sarcasm there. Marshall had a bad game, so what? All pitchers are going to have rough days and all. It's what he do in his next start (as well as Rich Hill's) really matters. And IIRC, during today's game broadcast, didn't they mention that the Brewers are a solid hitting club aganist lefties than righties?

The Pen will always going to be short-handed if the Cubs won't let go of Izturis and Jones. Period.

I agree with Vance and sweetpeteman. The part where Terrence Mann on Field of Dreams, when he was talking to Ray about baseball when Ray was on the verge of losing his farm. That pretty much sums it up about baseball. -
Royals win, 8-1 over the White Sox. 1 game behind them for 4th place. 5 game winning streak for the Royals.

While the catchers offense is an issue, the W-L isn't. Since Jun 21, the Cubs are 7-1.
