Great win. Not only becuase they were down 5-0 in the first inning, but also had to deal with a very very ugly inconsistent umpiring by Bruce Froemming. Great win boys. Enjoy a cold one tonight, and keep winning some more!

Well, by not having Neifi Perez and Jose Macias sure can make the numbers look better. Of course, as well as not having a manager named Dusty Baker can do that as well.

:shock: :shock: I know. Another shocking thing is, IIRC, this is the Royals first winning month in 4 years. They're within a game of the White Sox for 4th place in the AL Central. Pending the outcome of the Sox/Rays game tonight. If Sox win, it's still 1.5 behind. If Rays win, I believe that makes it a half game. That's why I'm really wanting the Rays to win tonight. Would had been nice if the Sox lost their last 2 games aganist the Rays, as the Royals would have sole possesion of 4th already.

You do realize they wear these jerseys only for the HR Derby and other festivities, and do indeed wear their appropriate team jersey for the game itself, right? Well, I would hope so.... but even then, why bother with those silly jersey in the first place? I'm just saying, for ALL the festivites and the game itself, just wear your respected ballclub jersey.

Got OU beating Texas, or Texas beating OU? I don't think we beat them unless one of our QB's plays mistake free. Seeing as how we're going to have either a true frosh or a RS frosh behind center, I doubt that happens. Of course, our O-Line should be really, really good, and we have a ton of talent at RB, so who knows. Maybe we can Nate Hybl them to death, in which case, the defense will have to shut them down. I know for sure that OU will be steady and in the thick of the race for the conference title. They are certainly not unbeatable, but the one thing they rarely ever do is beat themselves. Usually they are prepared and well coached. I think OU will squeak by Texas this year. Right now I would go with Texas simply because I know they can score a whole lot this year. I would however give the defensive edge to OU, as Texas is getting a lot younger this year on defense. If Jamaal Charles gets it going again I think Texas could run through the Big 12. They have a great recieving core as well. Sure, I can accept that. Texas' season will hinge on McCoy's performance. While he was good last year, his injuries and at times, consistency was the key. If McCoy can avoid the dreaded sophmore slump, and stay healthy, Texas got a good chance. Also same can be applied to Texas defense, especially pass defense where they got shredded week by week last year.

Hey, Colorado is a very solid offensive baseball team, or so they appear. No lead is safe when it comes to playing the Rockies.
