    Would be nice to see Kid K come in the 7th inning, and strike out the side of the 3-5 hitters in the Met lineup. One can only dream..

    Karma's a bitch after what he did to Fontenot (Or was it aganist The Riot?) during the Cubs/Braves series in Atlanta. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, I'm talking about when Edgar stole second, and elbowed Fontenot (or Riot) after the fact that he got plunked, I believe.

    Not necessarly a really bad team. They have been playing better baseball. I still agree on your comment that Buddy is an awful awful manager. They are a whole lot better than last year. Indeed. In fact, their 2nd straight winning month (June and July). Last time that happened was in 2003.

    He is going to take an executive role after this season ends. I thought they were playing much better ball as of late. I like Buddy as a person, but he can't really manage worth a darn. He's a poor man Dusty Baker. That being said, something tells me that this is more of a personal health related. Remember, he did had surgery last year to remove cancer from his throat, I believe.

    As long he's still in one piece, that's pretty significant enough for me.

    Could be that he's starting a slump. If so, the Cubs picked a hell of a time to visit St. Louis. That being said, how in the hell did the Cubs only manage to get 2 ER on KIP WELLS, whereas they should had borrowed a page from the Yankees who completely blasted Scotty Elarton.
