    IIRC, didn't one time Jones said that he was working with Tony Gwynn with his swing? I can't recall when it was, but it was when he was in Chicago.

    Which is exactly why he shouldn't be hitting leadoff when he returns. He should be put in the 5-hole and left there. There's absolutely no reason for him to be hitting leadoff, especially if he's not going to be stealing any bases for us down the stretch. I remember how slowly Aram "ran" in 2005 when the coaches told him to be cautious. He pretty much jogged around the bases. I don't know if Soriano will be that slow but I'm sure he will be slow. There's no way Lou will let him run at anything near full speed. Especially when the weather will turn cooler.

    Cool. Now watch Cedeno go nuts, putting up ridicilious numbers at Iowa. Of course, wouldn't be a bad idea to at least try to increase his trade value.

    Eh, Sweeney's time is almost ending for KC. I'd put Bulter up there.

    I saw Derwood's post about hall of fame for posts, and not person, so I thought to myself, why not propose that NSBB should have a Hall of Fame for members? The quote below is open to suggestions/changes/modifications,etc. Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

    Although you'd expect his numbers at age 33 to be somewhat below his career numbers, especially considering that he is a catcher. Hopefully he continues to be a second half player and puts up decent numbers for the Cubs. I was one who thought that his numbers as a Cub would be much closer to his career line than his line in the AL, but I can't say I thought they'd be this good. Agreed, when I defended the move a couple weeks ago I thought he had the chance to be adequate....right now he's pretty good. Good deal. Let's hope he can continue that through August and September, and hopefully into the playoffs.
