  1. Looking at ND's schedule, they'll be lucky to win oneto 3 games this year. The only shot the have is aganist Navy, Air Force, and Duke.
  2. Struck his ass out! COBS WIN! COBS WIN!
  3. *Whew* I thought for a minute that was gonna land safely on the ground. 2 down. Time to stand!
  4. Awaits Dempster uncanny ability to load the bases with 0 outs, and manages to strike out the side.
  5. That looked like a strike to me ump.
  6. CSN Darn. Would had liked the 2nd game to be on WGN. Nice 1 pitch out.
  7. Ugly inning. What TV is the 2nd game on btw?
  8. That's DeRosa Aramis is benched this game Dammit Roast! You're too fast!
  9. Great throw to end the inning. (thankfully)
  10. I guess I find it funny, but everytime I get the chance to see the Cubs play, it's either Lilly or Marshall pitching. I guess it's just me. *shrug*
  11. Agreed. Would had been nice to see K-State beating them, but K-State's depth did them in. They just walked right down the field to score - looked like Cox is out of the game though. Cox = Overrated QB. What took Tuberville so long to realize that, I don't know.

  13. Wow, Syracuse is bad. Its amazing just how far Greg Robinson has driven the program into the ground.
  14. Tha's what I'm concerned about. I mean, if I'm the seller of the Chicago Cubs (I wouldn't even sell them if I personally own them of course) I would expect top dollar for it. Nothing less. Well, it may not be that they're not getting top dollar, but that Canning is significantly lower than many other bids. Canning might be counting on his Selig ties to get the deal done. Imagine if Canning offered a bid of 680 million, while there were three bids at 800, 850, and 1 billion. That would be a significant difference. Of course, and I absolutely agree with you. If I were selling the team, as I mentioned before, I would expect the top 2 highest bidders, regardless of what the Commish thinks. I wonder if there is still a way around (a loophole?) the 32 owners vote and such?

  16. I don't like my Chiefs chances aganist the Bears.
  17. Has your opinion of Pinkel changed at all though? They are good enough to take the North and have a 9 win season. I just don't know if I trust Pinkel to not screw it up and lose a couple of games they shouldn't lose. The only thing that has concerned me about Pinkel so far this season is the way he goes completely conservative on offense once we get a big lead in the 2nd half. However, I was comforted by the fact that Pinkel came out this week and took the blame for it happening: I like hearing that. I think he understands the urgency that everyone is feeling towards this team. This is the most talented team we've had in awhile, and it could be our best chance for awhile to win 9-10 games and the Big 12 North. In the three years I've been at Mizzou, Pinkel has definitely improved as a coach and it's good to see him taking responsibility for the lack of consistent play in the 2nd half of games this year. Doesn't matter. Things are coming together in Lawrence. Big XII N champs, 2007. Haha. My, my, my. I'm guessing you forgot about KU in Big XII Conference Play. 2004 - Went 2-1 on non-conference play, 2-6 in Big XII Conference 2005 - Went 3-0 on non-confernece play, 3-5 in Big XII Conference 2006 - Went 3-1 on non-conference play, 3-5 in Big XII Conference Somehow I don't think KU is gonna come close sniffing the Big XII North, especially with a very piss-poor road record. KU is 2-18 in Big XII road games under Mangino, and never fared better than 3-5 in conference play. Some of KU's manageable conference games: Texas A&M, OSU, and Colorado are on the road. They might be lucky to win the Colorado game.
  18. Naw. I never heard of this guy either.
  19. So let me see if I understand this. The Trib is wanting a highest bidder, regardless of who you are, and possibly without the Commish interference? If that is the case, then Cuban's chances greatly increases here, IMHO.
