Has your opinion of Pinkel changed at all though? They are good enough to take the North and have a 9 win season. I just don't know if I trust Pinkel to not screw it up and lose a couple of games they shouldn't lose. The only thing that has concerned me about Pinkel so far this season is the way he goes completely conservative on offense once we get a big lead in the 2nd half. However, I was comforted by the fact that Pinkel came out this week and took the blame for it happening: I like hearing that. I think he understands the urgency that everyone is feeling towards this team. This is the most talented team we've had in awhile, and it could be our best chance for awhile to win 9-10 games and the Big 12 North. In the three years I've been at Mizzou, Pinkel has definitely improved as a coach and it's good to see him taking responsibility for the lack of consistent play in the 2nd half of games this year. Doesn't matter. Things are coming together in Lawrence. Big XII N champs, 2007. Haha. My, my, my. I'm guessing you forgot about KU in Big XII Conference Play. 2004 - Went 2-1 on non-conference play, 2-6 in Big XII Conference 2005 - Went 3-0 on non-confernece play, 3-5 in Big XII Conference 2006 - Went 3-1 on non-conference play, 3-5 in Big XII Conference Somehow I don't think KU is gonna come close sniffing the Big XII North, especially with a very piss-poor road record. KU is 2-18 in Big XII road games under Mangino, and never fared better than 3-5 in conference play. Some of KU's manageable conference games: Texas A&M, OSU, and Colorado are on the road. They might be lucky to win the Colorado game.
