  1. The first and only. Unbelieveable... I don't understand why that Macias was the first PH over Dubois or Hairston. Sure Macias may have "experience" But in all seriousness, Macias can't even hit worth a darn to save his life. You know this, I know this. So why has JH and Dusty haven't figured this out yet? It's sad. I honestly feel that Hairston and/or Dubois would give us a better chance of winning/tying the game than Macias. Macias and Perez are both in the mid 30's respectively, but it seems logical that they have peeked on their abilities. Hairston and Dubois are both in the mid 20's, and I feel that they both still have more room to improve their abilities, where their talent are already far superior than Macias for sure. If I was managing, I would rather have those 2 playing instead of Macias and Perez, becuase not only we are trying to field the best team on the field, we are also trying to help them become better in the future, especially giving Dubois some playing time. The only way they'll gain experience is to let them play. So let them play.
  2. So what did I miss. Other than having Neifi on the starting line-up, any other bad moves he pulled today? I'm guessing that Macias was the first PH again eh?
  3. I doubt it. It seems like the average fans that go to the ballpark think Dusty is just the greatest. Sadly, I think that those of us who point out how clueless he really is are just a vocal minority. Yeah, I'll have to agree with you on this one. *sighs* Oh well, who knows? Maybe Perez might actually contribute today. We'll see.
  4. Well, if that is true, that Perez is starting today, then I hope the fans will let Dusty know that they don't appreciate it, or something. *shrugs*
  5. Yuck.... :( I'd perfer Hairston over Perez anyday, anytime.
  6. *whew* Good news indeed. While seeing it on replay, it looked really bad as his knee went inward by the Lee's slide. Thankfully it's just a sprain, which he'll be back soon. Get well soon Walker.
  7. There is no need to sticky this thread. It will be bumped every single day the Cubs play this season. Sigh. Heh, you tee'd that up pretty good. :D
  8. I'm on board. I'm sure there are lots following right behind. Dusty is a complete joke. I'm in.
  9. And I agree with Raw on the first page. How to make this a sticky? My goodness....
  10. Yet it's sad that it's not even funny at all. Shoot, if I ever was the manager for the Cubs, my first thing to do would to tell Hendry to release both of those turds. If that's impossible, then fine, I'll just have them sit far far away in the bench, never to be used, or ship them down to the minors.
  11. *ranting* Must....lower....blood...pressure...
  12. Still doesn't make it a good move. As I said in the game thread, even a broken clock is right twice a day. I agree. I'll be really upset to see if Neifi is going to do the 8th on the pitcher's spot. Edited: Or the 9th if we go 1-2-3 in the 8th. Figures.

  14. Well... hmm... I was gonna b**ch about Dusty putting Macias in after the Barrett HR, but Macias hits a double....
  15. I'm with you here. I would have perfered that Rusch or Mitre would get the job becuase that Mitre had a nice spring out of those 3, and that Rusch had a nice season from last year for us in emergency starts. I would have spot-start every now and then. As for Dempster, he needs to be released, immediately. Not 5 minutes later, not 5 days later. N - O - W.
  16. Holy crap, if this is any indication of the Royals pitching this season, they are in deep s**t.
  17. That's my boy blu! That's my boy! Go KU! :D

  19. This is the only Cubs forum that I currently post, and most likely THE only one, because I enjoy my time here. How I found this, I found this site from google search, and just observed a few other sites, until I came to this one, and I enjoyed reading the game threads. That's one of the reasons why I joined this site, along with baseball discussions with other members of this board. Looking back to it, I'm very happy that I joined this board. As for other usernames if anyone ever want to checkout: http://www.chiefzhuddle.com - Coach C I am a administrater on that site, and I frequently go there often. http://www.wildbillschiefs.com - Coach C I am a member on that board and I frequently go there often as well. That's about the only boards I participate. :D

  21. Believe me, seeing Heinrich playing for KU, he's a very gutty ball-player and he'll give you 100% every game in and game out. He'll be a heck of a good leader once he gets some experience. Hang on to this kid if ya can. He's a tough kid. I can't remember what game it was, but it was in the NCAA tournament where he severely sprained his ankle, and he wasn't expected to play the next game, yet he does and scores some 30 points.
  22. Not a bad idea. I may have to start doing that for people with 10,000 posts. Of course, with the game threads as they are, that could be next week. :D Heh, I suppose so. I almost roughly got at least 100 posts today....
  23. How about using past players on some numbers, like Billy Williams at 2000 Ernie Banks at 3000 etc... Just thought I'd give my opinion.
