  1. I think you may be disappointed on the KU trying to make KSU a joke. Todd Reesing has been total garbage since the Colorado game. I should also address that Kansas doesn't have a good run defense, and Kansas State boast a very strong running game. They did punish that OU defense with a 149 yards on the ground, a solid 5.1 clip. Not to mention that they tacked on 364 total yards against that talented OU defense. Before this game, if somebody would have told me that K-State would score 30+ on that OU team, I wouldn't buy it. Was thinking more of the line of 10-17 points.
  2. Yeah, the Catcher shouldn't have thrown that. There was nobody at 3rd, becuase of the shift.
  3. Okay, apparently I am having an argument with someone. Did Blanton really pitch that poorly? I mean, 6 IP, 4 runs against this solid Yankee lineup, and he was "bad?" What say ye?
  4. In all seriousness, Blanton didn't do TOO bad as people feared he would. The Phils offense left 7 men on base, especially the one where they pulled a Cub-like in the 5th inning with runners on 2nd and 1st with no outs.
  5. Sabathia is going to have nightmares of Chase Utley.
  6. he threw 120 pitches 4 days ago; that decision was pretty much made when they let him go deep into the ballgame. this has to be one of the fatter pitching matchups in recent memory. It was stupid on Wednesday when they let him go out there for the ninth inning up 6-1 and throw an extra 18 pitches. They probably could have taken him out after the seventh up 4-0 and saved an extra 12 pitches also, but sending him out for the ninth was completely unnecessary. And Sabathia threw 113 pitches that same game - only nine fewer than Lee did - but he's coming back for tonight's game. If they were up 2-1, then I could understand it. But if you lose this one, you're nearly done, especially since you'd have to go to New York and win twice, if you could beat Burnett in Game 5. Historically though, pitchers on a 3 day rest doesn't necessarly mean much. IIRC, it was like 5-5 something and with a ERA of 5.00 or higher.
  7. OU 42, KSU 30. Tough loss, but KSU played well, despite spotting OU 21 in the first quarter. Looking forward to the Sunflower Showdown in Manhattan.
  8. OU just converted a 1st and 45 against em. Now 1st and goal OU. Yeah, the defense is gassed, unfortunately. Still though, it was great effort by K-State. Still plenty of football left though. And Banks (WR for KSU) can flat out fly. KO returned for a TD. 35-30, Oklahoma.
  9. After getting gashed in the first 30 minutes (1st and 1/2 of 2nd quarter), Kansas State is now down by 5 against this OU team. 28-23.
  10. A poster from a board that I frequent.
  11. The Big 12 TV contract sucks. I really hope ISU hangs on to Rhoads.
  12. Alabama scares me more than Texas or Florida. 100% agree, although I'm wondering about the Tennessee game. Of course, sometimes it's good to get lucky sometimes as well. One thing for sure, assuming Alabama/Fla goes out undefeated up to the SEC Championship game, whoever wins the SEC Championship game will be the #1 and will play for the BCS NC game.
  13. Honestly, I'm not too comfortable with Texas. I'm not really all that impressed with them.
  14. Walked in there. 35-24.
  15. That Indiana QB must be Stanzi's cousin. That was awful.
  16. Not that it was a ridiculous thing to post at the time, but... I'd still be nervous of him though if I was a Iowa fan. The guy throws INT's left and right all over. Game still not over yet. I am hoping for a Iowa victory though, becuase the wife's family is from Iowa.
  17. Wow. What a surreal change of events....
  18. you owe me $20, can't speak for derwood. this doesn't really matter frankly; penn st is making a bcs game either way if we win out. Shouldn't have to, if both Iowa and Penn State were to tie in 1st place since Iowa beat Penn State. Iowa hold the tie-breaker, don't they?
  19. If Iowa wants to win this game, they're gonna have to bench Stanzi.
  20. They'll probably say there isn't enough video evidence. Looks plenty of evidence to me. The ball hit the ground.
  21. Won't matter anyways if Stanzi is still QB'ing this team. He's terrible.
