  1. That was a total meltdown from Dempster.
  2. That's a very random stat. Cubs have won 2 of the last 3 series...and tied in the other. If they keep doing that, I like their chances. If they go on to lost this one, they just need to win the next two games against the Mets! 2/3 vs. Cards 2/3 vs. Reds 2/4 vs. Phillies
  3. Dempster has been struggling recently. Not good.
  4. BS You can't walk 11 guys and expect to win any game at any level. The Cubs pitchers didn't give up that many legitimate walks...that's the point.
  5. His Zone was only small with the cubs pitching. (i.e. Murton's at bat)
  6. Is this ump related to that NBA ref?
  7. Met's defense saved them a run that inning.
  8. I'd walk ARam now if I were the Mets...
  9. Wright and Delgado coming up in the 9th for the mets....let's score this inning.
  10. Glad he got out of that....or walking Reyes would have looked very foolish. It would have given them two runs for the price of one!
  11. The K zone is small all game, then it suddenly expands for Murt? Is this ump Burce Froeming in disguise?
  12. ...and I've even more tired of JJones than Floyd. All together now: "Pie, Murton, and Soto please!"
  13. Agreed. I'm getting tired of Cliff as a regular. Thirded! (Is that a word?) Can we have Murton please?
  14. Because 1 run is impossible to get in 3 innings??? 2 innings now... Perhaps you should stop watching if you're convinced they're going to lose.
  15. Because 1 run is impossible to get in 3 innings??? for this team, pretty much Because this team hasn't come back late in ballgames at all??
  16. Because 1 run is impossible to get in 3 innings???
  17. I think that has less to do with the team, and more to do with the nature of the sport. It's a sport where failure is the norm. Heck, a good batter gets on base only about 35% of the time and fails the other 65% of the time. Even good teams lose frequently.
  18. DLee's power has been picking up recently.
  19. have you seen any reason to believe different with their previous AB's this game? It's not all about the Cubs approach. Hernandez is pitching well...give him credit. He won't pitch a CG though, and there's a good possibility he'll tire soon and wil be more hittable. of course its always the other pitcher, and not the Cubs approach. It amazes me how many "tip your cap" games the Cubs supposedly have What don't you like about the approach today? Cubs hitters have actually been quite patient today...I think it's at or above 4 pitches/plate appearance. El Duque's ERA is in the 2's...we're not talking about a slouch of a pitcher. The Cubs offense has been very good of late. The've been averaging over 5 runs a game over the last week or so...
  20. Someone give him some gatorade during his next outting please.
