  1. if this game is close the refs are going to give it to the chargers, we need to score some serious points
  2. if we don't get to rivers we will lose this game
  3. not thrilled with that start, do we get the ball to start the third?
  4. I believe the us against them thing is somewhat real in football, where effort matters. I've also been afraid of the Bears getting full of themselves on multiple occasions in the past once skeptics started falling in love. I'm not sure why, but this doesn't feel like that situation. This feels like the Bears are actually pretty good, and they actually should win this game. I expect them to lose one of these next very winnable games, but not this one. "us against the world" is certainly a real thing in football, but so is the expectation of a win. Teams that expect to win are going to have an easier time of it. This is not the same thing as overconfidence or boastful talk. The Bears are the better team against all of the afc west teams, and they should expect to go out and just win, but if becoming "media darlings" makes them overconfident and lazy, that's on the coaches. I don't see it happening.
  5. Well, they did show Suh ripping off the helmet, as well as Moore's ejection, so they didn't go totally one sided. I hope the Lions's dirty play gets some media attention. It was really bad. In any case see you guys next week :)
  6. Why the #@$% are they talking about how great the lions are?
  7. more dirty crap. I would have taken the penalty.
  8. Honestly I don't care what people talk about. Detroit got pimp slapped today and they know it. That is good enough for me. The only way I'll be ok with it is if someone sticks up for Briggs and he isn't fined. That hit was so perfectly legal. If you can't make hits like that, they might as well use flags.
  9. Forte in there is completely inexcusable. Lovie should be fired for this kind of crap.
  10. It pisses me off that the story of this game should be the total domination of the Bears, and all they're going to talk about is ONE hit that resulted in an ejection, and probably Briggs's hit that was totally legal.
  11. I wouldn't say this. There is no justified retaliation in the NFL. But the refs have called a terrible game, and it's somewhat on them that things got out of hand. The only dirty thing we've done was Moore going back after Stafford. Who tried to injure him. I have no problem with what Moore did. I have no problem with it either. It should have been offsetting penalties.

  13. why is forte in this game? I can see it now, all the post game coverage is going to be saying the BEARS were playing dirty, and ignore the entire GAME of detroit's dirty play.
  14. screw these announcers, it did not start with fairly, and they're blaming BRIGGS?
  15. seriously? No penalty on Detroit????
  16. Packers/Bears rivalry is much more honorable than this, and this is clearly all on Detroit. Oh, Detroit doesn't even approach the rivalry... but I used to not care about them at all. Now I hate them.
  17. did they even call the penalty?
  18. Ok, Detroit is officially hated as much as Green bay by me.
  19. He barely even hit him, he just stood there!
  20. that was NOT a penalty
  21. There it was
  22. Boy, if dropped passes counts as "not going your way" the Bears haven't had it going their way all year!
  23. Good D, lets get Forte some yards.
  24. Only problem with Detroit sucking is that I was hoping they could at least split the games with Green Bay for a vague hope of catching the Packers.
  25. Cutler seems more asleep than usual today...
