  1. This post is not going to age well. Well, advantage Cubs after one inning... barely.
  2. Lets send ten batters to the plate every inning!
  3. What is it about what you've seen that has you totally over it? The totally biased perception that the pitcher in the 8th spot is too often the 3rd out with runners in scoring position.
  4. I don't mind Soler sitting a game, if necessary I'm sure he'll be up in a good situation. I'm totally over the pitcher batting 8th, though. I want that to go away. I think they should have tried Russell in the 2 spot today.
  5. I've said it before, but when your guys get on base a lot (which we should), this is not as beneficial as when you don't get on base much, and need to have guys on for your 1-3 guys. If the Cubs really are a team that is going to get on base a lot, their pitcher should be in the 9th spot.
  6. I've made a discovery! When the Cubs score runs, baseball is fun. When they don't it sucks... a lot. Profound, I know.
  7. Yuuup an impressive 1/18 caught stealing this year. wtg catchers I'd say it's about 80% on the pitchers. It's easy to steal when you can take a 20ft lead.
  8. Is Bryant ever going to learn to throw to first base?
  9. I don't like letting Lester hit there. I actually don't think there's any value in it. Granted, I'm not sure I like taking Lester out here either, but who knows...
  10. Nah, it's just coincidence. You have to use all three catchers every once and a while.
