  1. It's not worth trying to understand this guy
  2. it's cool man, we really need therapy but we can't afford it so we have gam threds Truth
  3. I'm really glad Maddon got himself tossed in this game, this ump has been so bad, especially to Bryant and Soler. They needed to hear their manager has their back. I don't think it helped with this [expletive] strike zone... but the team needs this kind of stuff to pull together.
  4. Word of warning: Tread carefully. The Cardinals fans who lasted here know to keep away from Game Threads. Whoa now. I am sympathizing. Kozma sucks. It's not sympathizing when you're being a dick.
  5. Well, [expletive]... still ahead.
  6. This ump is going to squeeze Lester
  7. you have got to be [expletive] kidding me
  8. This cardinal scorer is relentless at giving our young guys errors.
  9. So today is basically a freeroll for us, don't even need to beat the Cardinals. I know you're kidding about conceding the division but you should stop I'd point out how well the Giant's played at the beginning of last year, and how bad they played in the middle... but lets end the parallels there...
  10. it looked like Fowler caught that overhand beneath his waist...
  11. Has there ever been a game where a Cubs pitcher was consistently getting calls like that? I mean it happens all the time for opposing pitchers...
  12. this strike zone makes no sense at all.
  13. That pitch was better than Bryant strike 3.
  14. Apparently on the ground off the plate outside is a strike...
  15. we may suck, but we're winning... knock on wood.
  16. It's not terrible stupid. The basic point is that teams aren't throwing the Cubs a lot of strikes... mostly because the Cubs have swung at a lot of bad pitches in recent years... that's why the Cubs aren't hitting for power, there aren't enough pitches for them to drive. The Cubs are being selective, which is good, but what the article fails to explicitly say... is that opposing pitchers are getting a LOT of close pitches that should be balls, that are called strikes... because the Cubs don't get any respect from the umps for said patience. So in other words, the Cubs are screwed.
  17. I'm glad Ross is here, I like having the 7 and 8 hitter be automatic outs.
