  1. Yeah, at least Lester is also getting some crazy calls... hopefully it doesn't get lopsided.
  2. That was a good pitch, still not sure it should have been a strike.
  3. Fix a few calls that are terrible, but don't piss off the umpire's union enough that they go on strike.
  4. Yet another challenge we should win but won't.
  5. umps hate Bryant... they consistently give pitchers inside and outside wide zones against him.
  6. I really hate the camera angle behind the plate... you can't see anything!
  7. I'm glad our offense is good enough we don't need a large bench... but really... three bench guys? And two of them catchers? Something is not right here.
  8. Unfortunately I can't watch the end of this game, so I will miss the Cubs' awesome comeback...
  9. I'll take it. Still don't like pinch running for Rizzo. W
  10. We've had terrible teams beat up on us... why should we, who are a good team, have any trouble with other good teams? Plus we have Bryant.
  11. This is how all Cubs games should go from now on. Well, we could score earlier, but everything worked pretty well tonight. It helps when the umps are not against you (even if we might have gotten some calls tonight... we deserve it).
  12. Oh, man..... that just reminded me that Glen Hobbie started 36 games for the CUBS back 1960..... and lost 20 of them. [sigh] Go CUBS !! Lost 20 with a sub 4 ERA. That's tough. Meh, it was the 60's, people were trying all kinds of things
  13. I've seen two good throws from Bryant tonight... I hope he keeps practicing, but he's made progress.
  14. He just got beat there, can't blame him too much.
  15. How long has he been here? I still say he should be batting 2nd. Bryant is perfect for that spot. High OBP, doesn't hit into DP's with all of his flyballs That's true, I just like the sound of Russell, Bryant, Rizzo as the 2,3,4 hitters. I am not worried about Russell's strikeouts, though... give him another month and we'll see.
  16. How long has he been here? I still say he should be batting 2nd.
