  1. bonds homered today... anyone else laugh at sportscenter's "junk bonds" graphic they've been running lately?
  2. both should have tagged with pierre's arm. c'mon murton!
  3. beautiful. that's what you get for sacrificing with your cleanup hitter.
  4. over/under on bullpen blowing it today?
  5. people still argue this? HENDRY PROMISED SORIANO HE WOULD LEADOFF WHEN HE SIGNED HIM. so, indeed, soriano IS a leadoff hitter.
  6. at least my reception is horrible, so i don't have to watch the tragedy exactly
  7. another fat pitch... i don't trust this... why did i just turn the game on before this? why?
  8. "their still closer, ryan dempster" HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA thought this game was later tonight. can't believe we have a lead
  9. a groundball pitcher... against the cubs? hahahahahahahahahahahaha
  10. Hmm.... Hmm....what??? I am sick of these spoiled athletes who act like they are above the law, it is completely out of control! And if people are trying to take my comments to be racist or whatever, it's not meant to be. I might be a little country, but I have a white neighbor that acts the same way and I want to smack the stupid out of him as well, so "these people" was not meant soley towards black people like I think some of you took it. To the person who said it doesn't have anything to do with hip-hop, I meant that the image that is portrayed by a lot of main stream hip hop artists is very similar to the attitudes of a lot of the athletes that I am sick of, certainly not all, but quite a few. Sorry if my views dont match a lot of yours, but I could really care less if I am PC and I am sick of athletes such as Mr. Dukes. there were several things in the first post that would suggest a lot of racism in your post, "these people" notwithstanding. it's not about being 'pc,' it's about not stereotyping people, and trying to remember that there are people who do bad things, and people who do good things, hard as that may be to do. I will let this be put to rest now, but I am sorry if I came accross that way, I truely did not mean it that way. After looking back at the post I guess I could have expressed what I was trying to say better, but I will not back down from what I said that a lot of these athletes (no matter the race) are out of control. Here is a good quote to sum up how i feel Dwight: And I do not care if that convict is white, black, Asian, German, or some kind of halfsy. I do not like criminals. if you want to let it die, fine. i just truly hope you see the big difference between there being a lot of athletes being out of control and these hip hop thug culture people who need english lessons.
  11. I was gonna say - maybe you're onto something here. I say keep him in the rotation except when his special time of the month comes, then give him a bottle of Midol and a "Steel Magnolias" DVD and put him in the bullpen. I thought Midol came in pill form? :? pills don't come in bottles anymore?
  12. He has hit quite a few "almosts" though. The power will come around eventually, I'm not too worried about. I'm glad he's out of the leadoff spot though, I think that will help boost his numbers and help him out with a little more protection. not too sure why people believe this still. his career numbers prove fairly concretely that soriano is at his best when leading off, with his numbers dropping off significantly in other spots. also, when given his contract, hendry promised him the leadoff spot.
  13. dearest hoops, if hendry had listened to you at any point during his tenure, he would not have created a mess like this for you to dig him out of. sincerely, justin
