The Pacers are a magnet for bad PR. A guy with a outstanding warrant for a murder charge was found to be hanging out at home of Shawne Williams and apparently was tooling around in his vehicle too....this is the same awesome friend that was along for the ride with Shawne back in the fall when he got a DUI (obviously he had not killed anyone at that time). That and a rape occurred at the home of Marquis Daniels over the weekend...presumably committed by a friend/acquaintance of Marquis. Can't these guys pick some better friends? :banghead: The Pacers are already dead last in the NBA in attendance, they need bad PR like Kelvin Sampson needs more anytime minutes.

DJ can celebrate all he wants. He has been through a lot in his career at IU...the Mike Davis era, multiple injuries, the Sampson fiasco...he finally has a chance to play for a Big Ten title. ...the petulant ducking out on practice yesterday. He missed one practice. Oh the humanity! :shock:

Maybe IU should have practiced on Friday. They sure are struggling tonight. I attended the IPFW-IUPUI game tonight. It was a fun game to watch. Dane Fife's boys came up short 88-81 in OT. Seems like the program is slowly getting better year by year. It would be awesome to see the Mastodons in the NCAA tourney one day.

Dakich, McCallum.....I don't care as long as an open coaching search happens once the season ends. Wrap up the terms of the buyout for Sampson tonight and move on with life starting tomorrow. The kids that missed practice today should not start tomorrow. Make them come off the bench or something.

I can only hope that list of coaching targets is accurate. I'm still scared to death we'll get on a roll in the NCAA Tourney and end up giving Dakich the job full-time. :eek:
