  1. That was horrible. But when you travel to Mackey, playing 8 on 5 is not unheard of.
  2. It is more a matter of being unrealistic as opposed to unreasonable. But carry on. By your standards, Billy Clyde won't last long either.
  3. Honestly I'm more worried about contending for Big Ten titles than national titles. I just want to get back to a point where Indiana is "in the mix" for top spot in the Big Ten more years than not. And the occasional Final Four run, yes. People talk about the baseball playoffs being a crapshoot, I'd say the NCAA tournament can be on the ultimate crapshoots.
  4. Yeah but the real question is will it last? I'd say let's see how Marquette is doing 2-3 years from now. From what I've read and heard, Crean is a very demanding coach and probably some of those kids are feeling a bit liberated at the moment.......relatively speaking......heck when RMK left Indiana we saw those kids loosen up and play well for Mike Davis but it didn't last. Not that it is a great comparison but.....I tend to think about when Matt Doherty took over UNC. UNC had a really strong year under Doherty in his first season there and it seemed like they would not miss a beat. But then that situation proceeded to go to hell in handbasket very quickly after Year 1.
  5. Not being able to get a final shot off tonight was painful. But yes, they have competed pretty well in most of the games and that is more than I really expected.
  6. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/blog/the_dagger/post/Please-note-that-Chase-Budinger-s-face-is-not-a-?urn=ncaab,136602 CURB STOMP
  7. If Indiana could make a damn free throw they would be leading right now. :banghead:
  8. Good grief, none of this is remotely as certain as you're claiming. Nah I checked his math. He nailed it. :hello: :-))
  9. I think this could actually turn out to be a really fun, competitive Super Bowl. Whisenhunt facing his former team will obviously get some play in the media. And Kurt Warner reviving his career and getting back to a Super Bowl 7 years after his last appearance. But the guy who I really feel good for and am pulling for? Edgerrin James. I think it is very cool that after being benched most of the regular season that he got to play more in the playoffs and used his fresh legs to make an impact. And now he gets to actually play in the Super Bowl himself after being let go by Indy right before they finally broke through. It was cool that Jim Irsay gave Edge a ring anyways but seeing him get the chance to earn his own ring is cool to me.
  10. Oh well we all knew this was coming in one shape or form. Probably better to find out in January than in June.
  11. It beats having a arena full of old people who sit and clap politely (i.e Assembly Hall in Bloomington when I was in school).
  12. Indiana vs Penn State this evening. I know all the PSU fans look at this game as a sure win but as an IU fan, I have to find some optimism given it is a home game and while PSU is certainly improved, they might be more upsettable (new word) than some of the other teams we have played so far. Maybe. :stickman:
  13. The Big East has yet to get more than 8 teams in the tournament, and the only year they've gotten that many, the eighth made the Sweet 16. Meanwhile, 24 was the smallest margin of victory for a 1 over a 16 in round 1. Yeah but Derwood doesn't seem to be arguing the competitiveness angle all that much. I do agree with him that the conference tournament champions should all retain their normal automatic bid rather than having to participate in a play in game. Besides having the last two at large candidates battle each other in the play in game would be infinitely more exciting than the current set up.
  14. Ugh. I remember that game. The ending is not very fun. :banghead:
  15. Oh give him a break. He was probably the best dl on the bears last year he's never been any good. Well he is no Tim Tebow, that is for sure.
  16. Tim Tebow just cured a blind man in the middle of the post game madness.
  17. OH IT NEVER FELT SO GOOD Insert your own joke there.
  18. Oh give him a break. He was probably the best dl on the bears last year Yeah Alex was one of the few guys on the D that really played strong all season IMO.
  19. OU field goal attempt? That wasn't bound to end well.
  20. Defensive battle. lol
  21. Where is Erin Andrews? Certainly she is watching........being a Gator Girl and all.
  22. True. And my hatred is intensified by the local FOX affiliate being on the weakest signals from where I'm at. Not the greatest picture quality at all.
  23. it was PA, but damn that was a good hit. Plate Appearances?
  24. I am now fairly optimistic that Indiana might win at least a couple Big Ten games. 2-16 FTW!
  25. woo Purdue! \:D/
