  1. Wow, that was amazing. :hello: I will have to use that one. :D
  2. Based on what? Message boards? Other than reading this thread I've never seen him referenced as a laughingstock anywhere else. Of course I don't make it a point to read rival teams message boards either. But on a national level I've read nothing of the sort. I mean I am sure opposing fans find him annoying (even some IU fans find him annoying) but what, he is going to get fired for THAT? lol. He keeps recruiting like he has been recently and he can wear the San Diego chicken outfit on the sideline while he coaches. What is ultimately going to get him fired is the bottom line results, not him clapping or annoying people on Twitter. If he still can't get the job done in the W/L column once Zeller and the 2012 kids are on the roster, then the heat will be on him big time.
  3. That being said, I wish he would just keep his mouth shut and deal with it. Or talk to the Big Ten office about it in private. Crying about it on Twitter just looks bad imo.
  4. He's [expletive] crazy. If they fire him next year, it's going to be like Christmas for Purdue fans. They'll lose those monster recruiting classes they have coming in and who the hell is going to take that coaching job? He isn't getting fired next year. He has a 10 year contract and his 2012 recruiting class will buy him more time if nothing else.
  5. I love when IU totally forgets to defend the 3 point line for an entire game. Well done fellas! CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP! :hello:
  6. He was kind of a mix between Chris Kramer and one of IU's big goons. He had a decent amount of skill though he got a lot of garbage stuff and statsheet says he averaged 12 and 7 his senior year. He was just as chippy, sneaky, dirty as they get for big guys like that and also liked to flop and argue. Going by Jake Jaacks (pronounced Jakes) was the cherry on top. I seem to remember him getting in a near fight at IU. Did Knight have one of his guys throw the ball of his face on an inbounds pass? I remember him having a bloodied face for some reason. Yeah Michael Lewis gave Jaacks a Baden burger. I was at that game. The crowd loved it of course. :clapping:
  7. Tom Crean? :hello:
  8. Who is the spaz who keeps screaming like wounded chicken at that one end?
  9. Pacers are now 7-1 under Frank Vogel. \:D/
  10. They are actually watchable again. Hopefully they make the playoffs.
  11. IU will win the rematch in Bloomington. :P
  12. Yeah I have a feeling people's expectations for those 2012 kids will be overinflated for their freshman year. But the good thing is by then we should at least have three pretty solid senior leaders in place (Watford, Creek, Hulls) plus Zeller with a year under his belt so it isn't like those 2012 kids will have to be the Fab Five right off the bat. And trust me I don't expect them to be the Fab Five or to be Walls/Cousins/Bledsoe-esque.
  13. Why? I'd like more wins as much as anyone right now, but I'm willing to give the guy some time. Like I said earlier, this team needs to start showing more progress next year. Hopefully another year of experience, health (hopefully), and adding a good post player will do that. You can't ask for much more in what is lined up for 2012 and beyond. If IU is still playing this in two years I'll be concerned. I think the worst is behind them at this point. So if he misses the tournament next year he's not in any danger? No [expletive] way he would be in danger. His 2012 recruiting class alone will buy him more time.
  14. =D> We won so there's not a bit of crying. I'm happy. I like Hulls, liked Watford, Oladipo is decent and I like that Rivers is willing to not shoot and only do what helps his team win. The rest of it is a squad of goons led by a cheerleader who really doesn't coach. I really don't have anything against Clappy, I wanted him when he spoke to Iowa after Alford left. He gets his guys to play hard and now he's recruiting well (smart enough to hire Drew Adams and get his dad in play). I had a couple beers with Buckley when he was at Iowa and he's an absolutely great guy. I just think he's kind of a clown and isn't really much of a threat at IU. I haven't been impressed with Crean's actual coaching very much yet. He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who is going to get more out of less. So my hope is once he has a roster loaded with talent (2012 and beyond) that his coaching will look better.
  15. I'm still bitter that they did not play with this kind of effort earlier in the season.
  16. =D>
  17. Stupid Iowa. [-(
  18. I don't have a particularly good feeling about this game but I hope I am wrong. Iowa seems to have our number in the last 3-4 meetings or so.
  19. 2012 Final Four or bust. NIT Final Four Still aiming too high. I really don't give a crap about IU, but I love that Crean is just totally exposed right now Are you peeping through his bedroom window? Sicko. :-o
  20. 2012 Final Four or bust. NIT Final Four
  21. This winning thing is kind of cool. \:D/
  22. Yep. Rivers cost us possibly 3 points at the end of regulation by missing the front end of a one-and-one and then splitting a two shot foul. Watford also missed 3 free throws tonight which is uncharacteristic of him. Missed opportunity. Oh well.
  23. 43-40 Hoosiers at the half.
  24. Jeremiah Rivers hit a 3 pointer.
  25. IU versus U of I tonight, oh boy how exciting. Daniel Moore is totally going to dunk on you guys.
