Another at bat, another hit for Castro. -
My question is regarding draft prep as well, but mainly about peoples draft strategy. Im in a 10 team, head to head points scoring league. Regular offense plus 2 utility players, 2 SP, 2 Rp, and 4 Pitchers and able to adjust lineup daily. Am I wrong for going in with a strategy thinking if I dont get the 1st pick(Pujols) then I should focus on SS and 2nd with my 1st few picks? I keep looking at draft rankings, and it really seems like SS and 2nd are especially thin offensively, so if I were to be able to grab 1 of the top guys at each of those positions, rounding out the rest of my team should be much easier. Correct? I just feel like 1st base, 3rd base, and OF are pretty deep and good quality players should be easier to find later on. Catcher is another thin spot offensively, and Im thinking bout grabbing a C rather early to solidify that spot. Even if its a bit of a reach according to draft projections. Is my thinking wrong, or no?

Interesting 1st inning for Z. Gave up a hit to Furcal, sac bunt popped out by Paul, Pickoff of Furcal for 2nd out. Loney with a bloop hit to left, that Castro/Soriano kick a little bit, Soriano picks it up to throw Loney out at 2nd. Weird -
Maybe Im reading the brackets wrong, but Chicago only has 1/16, 8/9, 5/12,4/13 matchups. They don't get any of the 10 or 11 seed games. Well, Those are the pods that we assigned to Chicago, it doesn't necessarily mean it will end up that way. If a 3 seed gets sent to Chicago, then an 11 seed will go there. Problem for Michigan is, the most likely 3 seed to go to Chicago is Wisconsin, which would preclude Michigan from being in that pod. Gotcha. I was actually going off Lunardis bracket as to what seeds went where.

They don't get any of the 10 or 11 seed games. ok so unless the committee feels very positive towards michigan and gives em a 9 (or feels negative and gives them a playin game for 12 seed), it wont happen. Right. Id say its highly unlikely they get a game in Chicago. Id think they'd have to be considered the best 9 seed to give them a game that close to home, and if they get a 12(doubtful) Id be surprised if the committee gave them a game close to home.

Id say its highly unlikely Illinois gets a 8 or 9 seed at this point. If they are in the tourney its going to be as a 11 seed is my guess.

But Watson on the other hand has had a decent game lol. Figured 2nd half be a let up of sorts. Hard to keep effort level for entire game when leading by 30 so early

Lunardi has Illinois as an 11 seed vs Cincy right now. Winner would probably get San Diego St. Id take that draw over any of the 8/9 scenerios

I agree, but Boozer's been pretty bad lately. Maybe some time off will do him some good, especially seeing how the injury isn't serious. The second half effort was awesome tonight. The defensive effort picked up and we're a really tough team to beat when Korver's hitting his shots. Not sure how time off for Boozer will do him some good. We need him and Noah to get comfortable playing together right now. They have barely played together all year
