  1. i can't even keep track of all your stupid shticks. what's your crusade today? Lake sucks for all eternity and Olt has Brett Jackson disease. The only way you can even begin to hope to nurse any value out of them is strict platooning.
  2. I know I think Ryan [expletive] Sweeney would have tore the cover off the ball against a pitcher as [expletive] as Cole. Well now we'll never know.
  3. I wonder if we'll miss the contributions we could have had if we hadn't wasted Olt and Lake's spots on 0-for-6 with 4 Ks and a GIDP.
  4. http://emotibot.net/pix/8100.gif Remember all offseason when we kept saying Russell didn't *have* to make the team? I wish Epstein was as smart as us.
  5. I can think of three position players on the roster I'd DFA before him easily. A few more that are close. Yeah but tomorrow you're going to like Olt again. I'll never like Lake. Probably never like Kalish.
  6. I guess this answers who is going down when Arrieta comes back.
  7. Castro's throw bouncing right back to Rizzo was great. #ouryear #hashtagsoutsideoftwitter
  8. Blake Parker could have kept that in the yard.
  9. I can think of three position players on the roster I'd DFA before him easily. A few more that are close.
  10. I wish there was a way I could tune out the rest of the crowd at sporting events. The guys who think they know what they talk about are the *worst*.
  11. Wood gets honor of the home opener, the Phillies are a better matchup for a left-handed pitcher, and Wood/Samardzija are the two most likely pitchers to go deep so they wanted to space them out to even out bullpen usage.
  12. Didn't they play close to .500 ball for a really long stretch between the Rizzo call up and the trades in 2012? From April 25 to July 28 last year, they were 42-41.
  13. If we win this we're only 1.5 out of a playoff spot. Just sayin'
  14. A strong series in St. Louis to get back to .500 would be the most fun we've had in a long time.
  15. We are now tied with the Pirates for the 2nd-best run differential in the division.
  16. it's fun to see another team imploding like this. That's just the worst call ever.
  17. We have reached peak Bonerfacio. It's all downhill from here.
  18. 2nd walk was intentional. And he didn't swing at them.
  19. Hard hit balls that Olt and Castro made amazing plays to their left to keep from getting to the outfield. Olt's throw pulled the 2b off the bag (might have slipped when his back foot hit the base as he threw) and Castro's throw hit the runner going into 3b (probably couldn't have gotten him regardless).
