  1. I can see that sentiment. My guess is they like the versatility Theriot brings. Hendry likes guys who can catch the ball.
  2. Hendry must go. There is no other course of action that would suffice.
  3. I would like to see the Cubs get in on this. Vasquez to the Padres. Howry to the Sox. Kottaras and a lesse Padre prospect to the Cubs.
  4. With Trachel pitching, this game is bound to last four hours.
  5. You're fired. FINE! I didn't even want to work herE! I'm going to CubsClub.net! :storms off: :P You'd be a fine addition to their graphics team :o :lmao: I wonder if they'd let me join. From the looks of it, they could use an English teacher over there.
  6. Just kill yourself now. Da Cobs are a vera sucky team and we have vera sucky leadership.
  7. I had Roy targeted for my third pick, I was really surprised to see him go that early, though he should be a strong wideout this year. I think I went a little early on him, but I didn't think he'd make it back to me and I really wanted him. He wouldn't have. I would have grabbed him if he had been there at my pick.
  8. Miggy has a bigger chance of leaving than Dontrelle. I think Dontrelle relishes being the face of the franchise and wants to be around for the rebuilding. I'm not sure Cabrera is in the same category.
  9. It was a good pick on Addai. I wanted him, I just didn't want to take him that early and felt with the question mark surrounding Dillon, I wanted a little more certainty. Addai will definitely be a good keeper option as he will be the back of the future in Indy.
  10. I still can't believe this deal. It almost looks as if the Nats are the contenders and the Reds are in last place. Did the Reds owe Jim Bowden a favor? The Reds got raped worse than we did in the Pierre deal.
  11. Hey...it could be ok. Pinstripes are supposed to have a slimming effect.
  12. That's what I keep thinking! Couldn't we have gotten Kearns for one of our superfluous relievers?
  13. That could be a good move for both teams as much as I would hate to see Abreu traded to anyone but the Cubs.
  14. This sounds like fun. Count me in!
  15. That was such a tough decision. I was keeping edge and LJ no matter what and then it came down to Holt vs Steve Smith. I went for the slight gamble over the sure thing. I would have made the same choice, Burnt. You definitely had more than three guys worthy of keeper status.
  16. Must give credit where credit is due. Considering Marvin Gaye isn't in this poll, yes.
  17. Of course, Gaetti was brought in in 2004 when the Astros hitting was struggling then. Looks like a revolving door at hitting coach for the Astros.
  18. Your thoughts on Bush and Addai were the same as mine. Droughns is an interesting guy. He's going to get yardage and if he gets the scores, he'll be good. I looked at him at the times I made both my Dillon and McAllister picks. I'm taking a huge risk with those two, but I like to have a stable of RB's. I'll see how it works out. Droughns was the top rated guy consistently in the mocks that I saw for the RBs that were available. I was worried about his long-term prognosis and Cleveland's offense (or lack thereof). But I debated between him, Dunn, and Bush. I went with Bush because of the keeper league factor. Yeah, I'm at a weird point, really, as my keepers are probably set for the next few years. Manning, Cadillac and Jackson should be first rounders for awhile, barring injury. Very true. You can now begin looking at production for this year only.
  19. I had to vote Dave Matthews Band out of sheer gratitude to how many times their music helped me get into some girl's pants.
  20. I'm going with Aerosmith here. I've always liked their stuff.

But I debated between him, Dunn, and Bush. I went with Bush because of the keeper league factor. I've seen Droughns rated everywhere from up there to much lower. The same occured with McAllister and Dillon. The backs with question marks like Drouhgns, McAllister, Dillion and others seem to move all around depending on the opinion of the expert.
  22. That was a tough call for you. I was surprised that you let Johnson go. Having the tenth pick made it harder because there was no way Johnson lasts that long. I don't know whether Palmer slides to ten either, but you did have a big gamble. I still think you have an excellent team at this stage. My keepers were tough to decide because I hated keeping a TE, but since no one else screamed "Keep Me" I decided to keep Gates.

  24. Yeah. I wanted Addai but wasn't sure how high to take him. That was a great pick, TT. I'm probably going to look to deal depending on how everything shakes out. Bush will be a great keeper, Raw even if he doesn't get as much action this year. My brother is a Saints season ticket holder. He's telling me that everything he's hearing is that Duece will get most goal-line and early carries and that Bush will be used a change of pace back in the second half and will even see some time as a slot receiver and kick returner. The Saints still have Lewis who they like as a kick returner, so I'm not really sure how much time Bush will get there.
