As I see it, we have Zambrano and Hill as near locks for the rotation. Miller is there, but we don't know what he will provide. Prior is the same way. Prior could be an ace, but he could not contribute at all. With those four, three spots could be filled and maybe four depending on the healthy of Prior and Miller. If we sign one pitcher, then four sports are filled and maybe five. With the host of kids led by Marshall and followed by Marmol, Mateo, Guzman, and Ryu I really think the Cubs will be ok. While it would be nice to add two pitchers, at the prices they are getting, I'd almost prefer to spend the money adding one more bat.
