  1. Hopefully, Miller will get the same zone as Wainwright had. If so, we have a chance.
  2. If Miller stays up there, it's going to be a long day. Ok, that second pitch was better.
  3. Get Well Soon, Ron!
  4. Can't vote for pitchers.
  5. As long as the Cubs don't completely suck, I'm down for a solid 50 per day, maybe more. I was doing fine last year until the West Coast swing in early May killed my spirits. I understand. I'll start a thread devoted to it on Monday. I've already cast 300 votes today. :P
  6. Did Buggs Bunny and his friends get kidnapped and have to play a baseball game? I'm thinking some aliens came and stole Pujols's powers. They may have gotten Zambrano's as well.
  7. After watching last years NBA finals, I'll have to disagree.
  8. That was a great article about Sammy.
  9. I'll start a thread campaigning this week. Right now, I guess we need to decide who to focus our efforts upon. I'm thinking Lee, Ramirez, Barrett, and Soriano. Since it's early, I think we can use last season's work to justify those at this point. I'm also focusing all of my ballots on getting Sosa on the AL team this year. :) 50 votes cast so far. 100 vote a day pledges is all I need.
  10. Based on pythags, this is a 9-7 team. Right now, they are underperforming based on RS/RA. While I'm as disapointed as anyone, with the current team record, it's still really early. There's time to turn it around and I think it is possible for that to happen.
  11. Mind yer manners there, boy !! I left them with Scott Eyre in Atlanta. Must be a story there I haven't heard yet, no? Nah...just making a joke. I did run into Mr. Eyre. He's a nice guy....however I was cussing him from my seat on Wednesday night.
  12. Excellent pick. I almost took him for the Giants, but I thought Free was a little better and had more versatility. I PMed Vance and told him I thought he should pick Free as well, but he was higher on Satele. The Cowboys are going to need a back-up center as there really is only one on the roster. I also think Satele can play guard as well if needed.
  13. I've found that's generally true of many parts of the country.
  14. Hunting down Eyre after the game. The question isn't will he find him... Yep. ha ha, figures actually, Eyre was very downtrodden after the game. Every other time I've encountered him, he's been jovial and out-going, but he was about as sullen as an individual could be. Even though, he still walked over and signed autographs and talked to the fans. As much as we might not like his performance on the mound, he's a great guy. He's probably one of the nicest guys on the Cubs.
  15. That's almost hypnotic...next thing I knew I'd been staring at the computer for thirty minutes.
