    I could deal with that, although maybe up it to 550, or make a provision that you can keep at least 2 players even if they add up to more than 500? That's a good point. I just threw out a random number.

    Lou gets a chance to appeal his case, but I doubt what he says makes any difference in the penalty handed out.

    I definitely agree. Zambrano is likely trying to earn the love of his teammates back after acting like a complete ass and buffoon on Friday. One way to do that is to reiterate how much he likes it in Chicago and wants to be a Cub, yada, yada, yada. My guess is the same as yours. As soon as he has a different set of teammates, all that is out the window.

    I'm sure yelling at people makes them play better. While maybe I'm giving the guys a little too much credit, but I doubt they're sucking on purpose. So, I can see why they may not like getting yelled at for something they aren't doing on purpose. I know that I wouldn't like to have a boss like Lou and usually perform better for those who don't scream and yell.

    I'm not all that upset with Piniella's suspension. It's not like he's been helping us win ballgames. The Piniella experiment has been a disaster thus far.

    I'm not sure Lou will quit this year, but unless things change dramatically, I think he won't return next year to complete his contract.

    Olney could be on to something. This is a very veteran team, and I'm not sure Lou's methods play well with vets unless you're winning. I'm sure these guys are pretty frustrated and some of that may be with Lou.

    While I'm fine with keeping the status quo, I also wouldn't be opposed to a system where we kept 500 points or so worth of players rather than 3 keepers.

    Hawk is probably the worst broadcaster in sports. I think the guy who calls local high school games on our local radio could do his job better.

    I always check Ebay for months before the games I want to go to until I find what I'm looking for. Stubhub can be a good place as well. Also, check out craigslist.

    Indeed it is..... don't get too used to it Did you hear the interview with Hendry? He said Pie was here to stay. He's also said we have one of the best bullpens in the NL. Hendry can hardly be trusted.

    What are you going to be in Jackson for? I drive over for the minor league games a few times during the summer.
