  2. Uh oh... if Izturis broke Ramirez I say we shoot him.
  3. Murton can be decent almost anywhere given practice, he is athletic enough. Problem is his arm is well below average. Any plans on Sori to right and Murt back to Left? Fixed
  4. Marshall for Escobar? Then bring up either Guzman or Gallagher to start? I think I would like that. I'd hope we could enlarge the deal a bit. Marshall + Izturis + cash for Escobar and Reyes or Ascanio. You think Izturis could pull in Ascanio or Reyes? I like both (especially Reyes) but I really doubt Izzy would pull either of them. Throw in Jones, forget Reyes and add Saltalamacchia(spelling?) Like the Braves would do that. For the most part, Salty is untouchable. I think the Braves would respond, throw in Zambrano and Pie and you have a deal.
  5. Very good. Fontenot's not all that fast either. Seems like everyone has a catcher with a good arm. Except us. But ours can't hit either.
  6. Just learned the Suns hitting coach is none other than former Cub, Luis Salazar! Huzzah. I should ask him if he ever got a piece of Cindy Sandberg.
  7. Is it possible as Don Sutton noted on the Nationals broadcast that Hill may be tipping his pitches.
  8. i'll bet 1000 on below Down to .157. Our production from the catcher's spot is dismal.
  9. Hill's BA stands at .160. Will he finish the game above or below that mark?
  10. Just a day off.
  11. MLB's punishment system for starting pitchers is a joke.
  12. There's ground to be gained!
  13. Barrett just hit an RBI double vs the Marlins.
  14. Hopefullly, LaRoche will be all out of homeruns by the time we play them this weekend.
  15. Dempster threw a bullpen. He said the pain is gone, but he's still a little sore. He'll be back right after the break or within a few days of it.
  16. It's not surprising. With the short pen, we're going to see lots of this. They will shuffle guys back and forth to make sure they have a couple of fresh arms out there. Since Petrick is the one with options, he's going to be the one shuttled back and forth the most. Sean is up to likely get us through the weekend. Then, after the break Dempster is probably going to ready to come off the DL. At that point, Sean will go back down. My guess is Jim is hoping to move some of the dead weight by then as well.
