  1. Crap! We start an inning with two straight singles and no runs! That sucks!
  2. A strong second inning by Dempster. Could we actually be lucky enough to get a good full season of good Dempster?
  3. Theriot is hitting well thus far. Let's ride out the hot streak.
  4. Balmer is definitely the best player on the board. I don't think there's any way he falls this far, but if he does any team regardless of need should grab him.
  5. Let's hope Dempster continues to pitch well.... and why hasn't this been posted? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v257/vance_the_cubs_fan/cubssweepsx1.jpg
  6. A further thing, if the DH is ok, why not courtesy runners. I've seen this used in high school leagues. Pitchers and catchers don't have to run. A courtesy runner is allowed to be inserted for that player. If it's ok to have a DH, why not a courtesy runner?
  7. Fred, thanks for the pbp. This one is blacked out on my EI.
  8. My nephew who is 12 is playing fantasy baseball for the first time. He has Teixeira. It's so funny watching him struggle with whether he should drop him. I keep telling him to be patient, but 12-yr-olds aren't known for their patience.
  9. Is Hu really any better than Cedeno?
  10. speaking of stalking Marmol... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v257/vance_the_cubs_fan/wrigley%20trip%202007/100_0441.jpg Is he wearing earrings or does he just have really shiny lobes? I think those are headphones to his ipod.

  12. You'd think a team with the history and tradition of the Reds could fill their park, but outside of opening day, they need a team like the Cubs to come to town so they can get near a sell-out.
  13. It's possible they wanted to pull Hill then so he could leave the game on a positive note. He wasn't great today, but the results up until that point were. Had he gone back out and struggled, it might have carried over into his next start.
  14. That's where we miss Eyre. He was the pitcher we had that specialized in eating.
