Westbrook has a 2.73 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP right now. For his career, he has 102 ERA+. He's 30 yrs old with a contract that is affordable for the next two seasons. If the Indians decide to move him they are going to want more than Marquis and a couple of minor leaguers. Murton's value isn't nearly what we think it is, and while Hoffpauir has looked impressive in two games, he was a minor league FA going into this season. If the Indians decide to trade Westbrook, they will look for better prospects than Murton and Hauffpauir or will want a more proven MLB bat. I'm not sure we have the players they would want in order to trade him. Gallagher might get their attention, but it appears their motivation for making a deal would be to add offense. Gallagher doesn't do that. Murton and Hauffpauir or no guarantees to do that as well. The Cubs don't have the high end offensive level prospects to get it done nor do we have expendable young bats on the major league roster. I'd love to add Westbrook, but the only way I see it happening is if we some how got a third team involved.
