Dude. he got a pitch to hit and hit it stright at someone. I'm not a Corey fan by any means, but you're being ridiculous. I have no problem with Corey going after that pitch...but it is dissapointing that once again we get a lead-off man on and yet we still have no runs. :(

Crimmeny, it was the 1st inning. I think we can have some patience. I like this 3 game streak we are on. But after Rusch gives up another run in the second, and two more in the third, we'll be into the pen by the fifth and it just doesn't look good. This doesn't sound like the Vance that we all know! Watching the way Rusch was pitching in the first, I hate to say there's little there to inspire confidence. He's getting behind in every count and getting hit hard when he is near the plate.

Umpire gave us a break there, because that was ball four to walk in another run. 34 pitches for Rusch in the first. We're not winning this game.

If the season ended today, I'm still going with Clemens. It's hard to argue with a 1.55 ERA. On the other hand, the season doesn't end today, so as close as this race is the performances from here on out will have a huge bearing on the who wins.
