    Did you watch last night's game? As nasty as it was, I wouldn't want Marmol sitting in the bullpen, let alone coming into the game. The game was virtually meaningless for the Cubs. Do you believe that risking someone's health to help win a meaningless ball game is really in the best interests of the team? No not abused used for the one out needed in the sixth. Just to keep loose and keep the playoff frame of mind going, and just one out

    Why didn't Marmol come in to help Cotts out? How many days rest does he need? Howery has been used three days in a row so I am cutting him a little break.

    Love our short term memories. Beginning of the year we hat Edmonds and Dempster was Dumpster and now we give Edmonds a standing O and Dempter is awsome. I am certainly glad we can speak about both these guys in that light. :good:

    I'm not yet ready to say Lee is coming around. As I glance at games log, and compare them to Ramirez (their career SLGs are very close) it seems what has been missing from Lee is multi-Xtra base hit games. I think that sort of jives with the idea that he's not hitting the ball in the air enough (tough to get to second on a grounder) which the GDIPs also support. If two days is a trend, he's going in the right direction, but I'd like to see more success. Then, if it looks as though he is coming around, he should get a couple more days off. Maybe the hurricane break was a real help. Strangely, I like the recent Ks. Maybe he's actively trying to do something different. doesn't help when Fuku isn't performing consistantly, but Lee putting the ball closer to the fence each time at bat, you wonder if his dad talked to him over those two days

    Lee, with that homer and a hit may be coming out of the slump so I keep him going and throw Fuku back in to see if he can work his way out of it. work Edmonds so he can be hot for post season. Maybe skip Dempsters next start after the MIl. series Rest Geo
