  1. Such a good story...tell me a third time! Lived in venezuela, don't get my stories mixed up. Ok, the females all seem to have......................... so that is a redeeming value
  2. I was in rio in 84 for Carnival and it was fun, but could never, ever recommend that city for an Olympics. Hopefully they have cleaned up in the last 20 years

  4. The World Cup is bigger than the Olympics? By what measure? Espn Ocho can carry it
  5. This is for the best, we will be in the middle of our sixth straight World Series title defense and then to put that many more people into the city would be ridiculous.
  6. No, I have several rational reasons, rather than "the cards" suck reason that others have given.
  7. professional baseball is not an individual sport nor is it charitable. Maybe if the teams would congratulate each other after each game like tennis or Olympic style wrestling there would be less anomosity Baseball is really the only sport that doesn't. After every football game players shake hands, at the end of the post season series in basketball the shake hands same in hockey, in soccer they exchange jerseys. Those are all team sports right. Maybe we should just make them run laps until there is less anomosity. I guess we can agree to disagree because I will root for the Cards this time because I hate anything LA and ESPN has killed any enthusiasm for NY or Boston. Vlad and LAA well it is LA and Detroit well it's Detroit. That leaves Col. and St. Louis and after the disastrous series I got to witness in person at Col.

  9. It doesn't surprise me in the least that you're the one that said something like this. ya, because I am sure you would love to see the Yankees win it. It is obvious that you have never done an individual sport becuse in individual sports you tend to root for the guy that just beat you. It is complex an yet charitable thought process so I doubt you would be able to understand. If you are going to throw moronic quips out like that expand on them so I can be sure of the place that I so offended you.
  10. Man we were so close!! I am hoping the cards win the whole thing, that way we can justify why we came in second is that we were in the devision with the best team in the MLB
  11. This is a replacement chronic injury for the loss of Kerry Wood and his blisters
  12. I was thinking the same thing, Do people actually watch that show??
  13. Will they take McCutchen for Miles based on dancing skill
  14. I think he will be in great shape next year, he wants to finish with the Cubs and we will be pleasantly surprised. Isn't "Give Z a chance" a John Lennon tune?
  15. There's nothing else to say. I blame the rap music. That too
  16. NEVER!!! I will go down with this ship
  17. I don't! But he played 658,345 minor league games and worked hard to get here and substitute teaches in the off season. That alone should earn him playing time, right? Yes, we should give him at least 4 - 5 seasons to get his swing together before we write him off. It is a great story and I will cheer for Bobby when he is on another team
  18. His emotional outburst and irrational thoughts, with the added "shoot yourself in the foot" syndrome indicates to me he is on drugs. Knowing this we should get him rehabbed and the trade him to a team where he can hit .340 with 40 homeruns. (referencing Dennis Eckersly and Josh Hamilton)
  19. scales makes me hold my breath every time the ball is hit
  20. Blanco get the sunflower seeds out of your mouth
  21. Joe done good in Math. My wife walked in at that moment and she just said "Who is this moron?" People that have ever heard of him thinks he is a moron
  22. we trade you straight up for Derosa for Miles Fixed. thx
  23. we trade you straight up for Derosa for Scales
