  1. This is got to be the perfect conclusion to the season. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs in the 9th. Cubs down by 2 and Macias up to bat.
  2. This is like the perfect game to end the season. It pretty much sums up the entire season perfectly. Dusty, you rock.
  3. Wow. Good thing the contact play was on there. Neifi out by 20 feet at home plate.
  4. Neifi with some aggressive running there. He gets to 3rd with only 1 out.
  5. Phillies are winning 4-0 now going into the bottom of the 5th. Too bad they have to rely on the Cubs to get into the playoffs.
  6. Some may laugh, Phillies fans may swear, but I see it as a great way to end the season. It's very fitting, isn't it?
  7. That didn't take long for the Astros to score. 1-0.
  8. It's better than being a Cubs' fan and seeing those Baker lineups day in and day out. :x
  9. it's already 3-0 White Sox against Cleveland in the 3rd. The Indians have really choked down the stretch here.
  10. Phillies have an early 1-0 lead going to the bottom of the 4th.
  11. It's good to see Corey is batting .215 nowadays. Solid. I'm still hoping the Cubs can pull out a victory today with a Phillies' victory as well. I want to see a 1-game playoff!!!
  12. Hahahahahahaha. That's a sweet 1 and 2. Thank god the year is over.
  13. I'm guessing that if we do lose today it will come on a Dempster blown save so poor Cubs' fans have to question whether or not his new contract is worth it all offseason long.
  14. I'm really hoping the Cubs can win tommorow with a Phillie win on top of that. Who would the Astros have to pitch if they had a 1-game playoff with Philly? Astacio? Rodriguez?
  15. yay! no bans! Modzilla, have I told you how wonderful you are lately? Please don't ban us. :newugh:
  16. Not only that, but with the possibility that both Murton and Cedeno could be regulars next season, I can't fathom Baker adding a 3rd youngster to the everyday lineup. "Dude, I want to get this kid into situations where he can succeed. Macias has been great for us and I can't just not play him because I don't want the dude to get rusty."
  17. And the Big Papi comes through again for the Red Sox. What a monster that guy is. Walk-off single to win the game. Still 1 game back with the big series this weekend. Wonder what ESPN will be focusing on this weekend...
  18. Big Papi coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out for the Red Sox.
  19. Good hustle by Corey to cut that ball off and get it back in. Still doesn't make up for the non-hustle earlier though.
  20. Haha. Nice decision by the 3rd base coach there. There's an interesting save by Dempster there. Cubs win. 3 more please!!!!
  21. WOW! Mr. Clutch does it again! btw, that swing by Corey @ the high FB was absolutely horrendous. Red Sox have 1st and 3rd with nobody out. Ortiz has 145 rbi's this season  I wonder how many rbi's Ortiz would have with Neifi/Macias/Corey batting in front of him? Uhh... <106 (D Lee's total) Better question, I wonder how many rbi's D Lee would have if he batted third in the Red Sox lineup.
  22. WOW!
