  1. It was nice not having to watch Michigan's defense for an entire month. I'm not sure I'm ready to watch it today.
  2. Eh, UConn was due for a loss. Back to the football game please.
  3. UNC had half of their field goal unit on the field while the offense was trying to spike the ball. They got the play off with 1 second left, but were charged the 5-yard penalty. Refs originally said game was over because the penalty was on the offense, but then decided to review the play because there looked to be time left on the clock when UNC spiked the ball.
  4. This has gotten hilariously out of hand.
  5. How do you run a draw with 10 seconds left? Idiots.
  6. Wow. It looks like he probably dropped that, but there's no way they can overrule the call because the ball was obstructed in every review angle.
  7. Wow.
  8. I'm pissed about that call and I couldn't care less about Kansas State.
  9. Sounds like grades were the issue.
  10. That warranted an excessive celebration flag? Ridiculous.
  11. This game is awesome. Reminds me of Illinois/Michigan, except in cold/crappy conditions. No defense at all.
  12. This. Yes, mostly the latter. Cub fans would still have liked him after they realized there wasn't anything magical about his schtick. But then he insisted on being a turd. That was the end. But he always knew when the slider low and away was coming...
  13. The level of excitement of getting Nomar far outweighed any regret over any prospects. Still the most excited I have ever been in a trade. But I was a huge Nomar fan before the deal too. I can still remember that trade like it was yesterday. I was watching ESPN right as the trading deadline passed. Peter Gammons came on saying the trade didn't go through. 5 min later they say Nomar was traded to the Cubs and we didn't have to give up Matt Clement in the deal. I was jumping around like an idiot.
  14. Nothing. D'Agostino's is overpriced crap. So many better pizza places.
  15. What position does leadoff hitter play on the diamond? I can never remember.
  16. Did you do this before or after you read that Kerry signed for $1.5 million?
  17. Yankees sign 30-year-old pitcher who hasn't player in the Major Leagues since 2006.
  18. A Juco recruit, Tank Carradine, was supposed to take an official visit to Ohio State this past weekend. He took the flight to columbus, but never went to OSU. Instead, he drove home to Cincinnati to visit his mother. He basically tricked OSU into giving him a free flight home. Couldn't happen to a better school. I wonder if OSU will bill him for that flight. http://www.alongtheolentangy.com/
  19. Ugh. Look at those highlighter yellow socks Oregon will be wearing in the National Championship game: http://www.nikeblog.com/2010/12/14/nike-bowl-uniforms-oregon-florida-tcu-boise-st/
  20. http://wvgazette.com/Sports/201012131877 where are you getting this stuff from? It sounds like it's true. http://www.smokingmusket.com/2010/12/13/1874910/breaking-bill-stewart-to-step-down-as-mountaineer-head-coach-after
  21. yeah, he's holding out for a better job. If he doesn't get the head coaching offer he wants this offseason, then Auburn will be willing to give him 1.3-1.5 million/season to remain the offensive coordinator. I'd prefer Malzahn over Chizik as AU's head coach. He's staying at Auburn. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5915527&campaign=rss&source=ESPNUHeadlines
  22. Knock it off.
  23. It hasn't really hit me that Ronnie is gone. I guess it's because the Cubs aren't playing right now. It's going to be strange and sad hearing WGN radio this season.
  24. I still think the 2004 team was the best team we've had on paper during the Hendry regime. Which is sad considering how much the Tribune had spent on payroll year in and year out during the regime. I still remember the SI cover with Kerry Wood and something saying hell had frozen over. :?
  25. He's come a long way since his freshman year at Michigan. He used to just fire rockets straight into the ground, 5 yards short of his intended receiver. He was the Jacque Jones of college football when he started out.
