  1. Exactly. [expletive] every stupid Michigan fan who keeps spouting off about the next coach needing to be a Michigan Man. It's the reason why the fan base was divided the moment Rich Rod stepped on campus 3 years ago. Are most of these Michigan Man blowhards townies, or is the alumni caught up in this obsession as well? From reading various UM boards over the years, I have to say some of the wealthy alumni are caught up with the obsession as well, especially all the blue hairs who still attend every football game.

Has his name even once been mentioned. I know its thought to be tought to pull him away from Ft. Worth, but at least try. Michigan is definitely going to throw some money at the new coach. David Brandon said as much today in the press conference. I think a homerun hire is the only way to bring the divided fan base back together. We'll see. Let's hope it doesn't take long.

  4. I really doubt Brandon is just starting the search. I'm sure he's been quietly putting out feelers since the season ended. That said, if we don't have a new coach within a week I'm going to flip out. Our recruiting class is already going to be [expletive]. It's going to get worse with each passing day. The position needs to be filled by Friday at the latest. With the UA game tonight and the Army All American on Saturday every minute counts now. As mentioned he has to alreday have a short list Harbaugh and Miles. If you can't get anything substantial from them just give it to Hoke now. This Brady Hoke talk is troubling. If he wasn't a "Michigan Man" he wouldn't even be in the conversation. He has a losing record as a head coach, has had 2 seasons that would even qualify as being "good", and wasn't even considered by Indiana and Minnesota when they chose new coaches. No offense to those programs, but they aren't Michigan. [expletive] Brady Hoke. He better not be the next head coach.

  6. This salvages a shred of dignity for the B10, but I'm not sure any gloating is in order, maybe for the next few years. Yeah, I don't think we have any reason to gloat. They went 3-5. It's not the rest of our faults that Michigan and MSU aren't legitimate programs. Both teams beat Illinois. Valid point though.
  7. Poor Pryor. I'm sure he'll be able to sell something to get that foot healed up nicely.

  9. Nicely said. Haha.
  10. Bhahahaha.
  11. That's what you get for rooting for OSU.
  12. There's nothing more amusing than seeing crazy OSU fans near tears when things aren't going their way.
  13. Wow. How is that a safety? EDIT: In the replay you can clearly see the line judge marking forward progress at the 2-yard line.
  14. It's still very early, but it's starting to look that way.
  15. Lots of chatter on Twitter about Harbaugh accepting the 49ers coaching position.
  16. I'm not going to be very happy if Michigan fires Rich Rod and replaces him with Brady [expletive] Hoke.
  17. Well, the Free Press were one of the 2 media outlets saying Rich Rod was fired, so I wouldn't believe a word in that article. Plus, I doubt they'd be getting insider info after the witch hunt they put on a couple summers ago. It's hilarious reading different Michigan boards right now though. People have no idea what's going on and they're FREAKING out. It is starting to feel like the coaching search 3 years ago.
  18. I've heard lots of things. That's the problem. I don't think anyone has a clue what's going on. Now both of the Premium sites are saying the decision on Rodriguez has been postponed until tomorrow at the earliest and the team meeting scheduled for tonight is being moved to tomorrow night.
  19. To me it will all depend on who the next hire is. If they have someone specifically in mind (obviously Harbaugh comes to mind) then I am ok with the firing. If they were firing him just because they were fed up with the results, then I am not sure if they gave Rodriguez enough time. I don't want to be [expletive], but I accepted that there would be 2 years to transition into a spread offense. The results of the last 2 years didn't bother me. The fact that our defense was 108th in the nation this year did bother me, and I didn't really consider going 7-6 a success in year 3. But you've knowing punting away 2 years of a program that never punts away years to make the switch to the spread, and the third year doesn't go their way and he's fired? Now what? You hire a coach to run a traditional offense and punt another year going back (I am assuming its easier to go back than to switch to one)? Blah, at least the offseason will be interesting. To me the move only makes sense if they already have Harbaugh in their back pocket. Otherwise it seems that they are taking a tremendous risk which could blow up. I agree. The coaching search for Rodriguez was a disaster with people publically turning UM down left and right. I can only imagine how fun this one will be if they don't have someone in their back pocket. The last coaching search is at the front of every UM fan's mind right now. No way they would fire Rich Rod without having someone else in place. Also, national signing day is less than a month away. Our recruiting class will be [expletive] if we don't have a coach in place ASAP.
  20. Well, it was a game until halftime. Harbaugh, come to Michigan. I'm on board now.
  21. Wow. What a play by Tyrod.
  22. Well, it looks like I'll be watching this game on mute. Gruden needs to go back to being a coach just so I don't have to hear him talk anymore.

  24. Where is Newsome going? He's planning on transferring too. http://www.philly.com/inquirer/sports/20101230_QB_Newsome_stays_behind__may_transfer.html
  25. You might be stuck with McLovin. Sounds like Bolden is transferring. http://www.blackshoediaries.com/2011/1/2/1909739/rob-bolden-reportedly-seeking-a-transfer
