  1. where are you seeing that he's decided yet? I didn't, hence the "would be" But now it's a done deal, he's headed to Iowa. Another 4-star Michigan misses out on. Not looking good for the end of this recruiting class.
  2. Niklas to ND. A good get for Notre Dame.
  3. Michigan looks like they'll crack the top 25 in ranking for this recruiting season. Not good at all, but pretty spectacular considering Hoke had 3 weeks and only 8 solid commits.
  4. Troll fail. Or just stupidity, I can't tell which. I don't think it's trolling. I think it's an honest question, although worded a little strongly. Iowa has had some issues over the past few years and things always seem to be swept under the rug with no one ever batting an eye at Ferentz. People give Dantonio grief for the crap he's pulled with letting players back on the team the day after they got out of jail, but Iowa probably has more players who've been in trouble with the law. I can't imagine the commotion that would have started at the Detroit Free Press if Rich Rod had 12 kids all in the hospital at the same time because of pushing them too hard. Hell, Rich Rod got thrown under the bus because they practiced 45 minutes too long. no, he got thrown under the bus because michigan sucks. Well, yeah, that too.

  7. hmm, now what could cause a bunch of football players to have the same type of muscle damage? Apparently it's an overexertion thing. Stories coming out about how grueling workouts have been since they came back from break last week. If it was steroids I don't think they would be putting out a press release and then leaking what the illness is. 12 players all having the same condition due to overexertion? Uh-huh.
  8. I'm really impressed with that Hoke has done recruiting-wise in the past week. We had 8 recruits a week ago and now we're sitting at 16 with another couple likely to come on board soon. Hoke has been working his ass off.
  9. That's an awesome move for UCLA. Really surprising move for Shannon though. Raisin, do you think Shannon could take over the program in a couple years?
  10. AHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I get it. You're saying I'm fat, right? Classic! =D> =D> I'm going. Enjoy the game, everyone, and may the better team (the Packers) win. http://i.imgur.com/y0Eo7.jpg
  11. Okay, let's split this up so we don't have a bunch of fighting in the other thread. Packers fans, go nuts in this thread. Let's try to keep it civil today.
  12. So should we have a separate thread for Packers fans or can we all get along today?
  13. So it looks like Notre Dame has opened up the check book this offseason. Five 5-star recruits commited? Wow.
  14. Tate Forcier just did an entire press release on Twitter about his intentions to transfer. What a [expletive] whackjob family. Hopefully, Michigan never has to deal with the Forcier family ever again. http://twitter.com/#!/QBForce
  15. Kyle Rudolph pens a goodbye letter in ND's student newspaper. Pretty classy. http://www.ndsmcobserver.com/viewpoint/goodbye-notre-dame-it-has-been-great-1.1880926
  16. It's a great hire for Michigan but odd for Mattison isn't it? Unless he really wants to become a college head coach. He's 61, so being a head coach is probably not in his cards. He's coached with Brady Hoke before and was DC at Michigan back in the 90's. He also has a daughter that lives in Ann Arbor and she's supposed to be having a baby soon. He's always been big on family.
  17. Sounds like Michigan is hiring Greg Mattison as DC. Very solid hire. I'm happy with that.

  19. How many are they losing from last year? You mean seniors? Not that many actually. We were due for a small recruiting class (around 18), but I don't see how we add another 10 guys in a couple weeks time. The unfortunate thing is Hoke will look like he's reviving Michigan because most of our team is back next year and we have a relatively easy schedule. I could see us winning 9-10 games. It's Hoke's second and third years that I'm worried about. This year's recruiting class won't help that worry. Is there enough talent on defense to think you can get to 10? I think there will be some interesting sophomores and redshirt freshman that could help out next year that were just very raw last year and didn't get to play. I also think it will help having a defensive group that's all on the same page. Rich Rod and Greg Robinson (defensive coordinator) were def not on the same page and it showed. Kids were always lined up wrong and running around in the wrong spots. Rich Rod wanted a 3-3-5 defense and Robinson obviously had no idea how to run it. It was a complete disaster. I'm hoping Michigan brings in a big time defensive coordinator and things work out a little more smoothly next season.

Are you worried that those will be down years, or that Hoke's just not going to do a good job at UM? I'm worried about both. We've had a lot of attrition the past few years, so we have less freshman and redshirt freshman than a normal team. I'm also worried that Hoke isn't going to be that great, and that we're just going back to the 3 yards and a cloud of dust bull crap with less highly-touted players. I'm worried it will be like Michigan of old except with worse players.

  22. Michigan has like 3 defensive recruits who haven't jumped ship and have 8 recruits total right now. Might want to hire a defensive coordinator already. It's going to be a rough signing day this year.
  23. Olsen is having a game.
  24. Damn these crappy camera angles.
