  1. Pinch hit for Marquis if his spot comes up this inning. There's no point in sending him back out there. He's getting shelled.
  2. We're definitely going to need the Rockies to win today with Marquis pitching.
  3. She's flying through the anthem. It's like speed singing.
  4. Again, why do people think Soriano hitting 5th is going to do much good? He's got a much better chance at hitting in some runs batting behind Fontenot, Lee, and Ramirez than he does hitting behind Izzy, Bowen, Crap, and the pitcher.
  5. Kroeger is interesting. He was a big prospect for the Diamondbacks a few years ago, but then had 2 terrible years, but he's been absolutely raking since coming to the Cubs. I might actually like to see him get the call. He's a LH bat with a bunch of pop. Could be an interesting choice. I don't see it happening though.
  6. Just imagine if we had a big LH bat to go with that 3,4,5 combo... =P~ =P~ =P~
  7. I couldn't agree more. I never understood the value of a save. It doesn't make any sense. Managers should use their best pitcher when it's needed. I would love to see managers stop worrying about having a "closer" and just worry about setting up their bullpen so their pitchers are used in the best situations.
  8. Hopefully the Rockies tear Suppan a new one today.
  9. There's no way it happens. No way Hendry brings him back.
  10. I get the feeling the real Soriano and Z would be speaking spanish to each other.
  11. There's no way the Astros would trade Oswalt to us. I don't see them trading him in the first place, but if they did it would definitely not be to a division rival.
  12. Leon Johnson with some ridiculous numbers for Mesa. Already with 5 triples in only 66 at-bats.
  13. There's nothing more rewarding that watching the Cubs kill Roy Oswalt.
  14. He spit right when he hit the pitch.
  15. SORIANO!!! He killed that pitch. I'm loving this.
