    Yep. And what's with the talk about "being good enough to make it to the playoffs"? Shouldn't we be trying to win the World Series? We are not good enough. This team has huge holes at SS, C, CF, and RF. We need to upgrade at least one of them.

    We are below-average offensively at CF, RF, SS, and C. One of those positions, at minimum, needs to be upgraded.

    They just had Bruce Levine on ESPN 1000. Here's what he said: -Cubs still interested in Ryan Church, but it's a matter of whether Bowden will ever bring down his trade demands. Mentioned Jay Payton, but doesn't sound like the Cubs are that interested anymore in Payton. -Cubs are happy with what they have right now. Doesn't look like they're interested in bringing in anything big like a Dye because it would render Floyd useless. -Organization thinks highly of Murton, but he's not really a Lou Piniella type of player. Doesn't sound like Murt is going to get much playing time. -J. Jones has no market. He's done a decent job the past couple of weeks. Don't look for him to be traded. It doesn't sound like the Cubs are going to make any big moves at the trade deadline. :cry:

    probably has more to do with Iowa having a surplus of infielders and a shortage of outfielders and???? He's one of our better prospects and he's playing LF because they don't have enough outfielders and they'd rather play some lower-tier prospect at 2b instead?

    You should see Hamels' numbers against guys with freckles. Murton wouldn't even have a chance.

    You can't be serious. This post doesn't really even deserve a response. What a joke. Fanboys, LOL. LOL @ you thinking I'm a Dunn fanboy. Right. I was actually calling the fact that you'd base your decision on whether or not the Cubs should get one of them (I'd prefer Griffey, FWIW), on what they did this weekend a joke. The mere suggestion that anyone should no longer discuss or consider (or hope for) the possibility of one of them coming to the Cubs based on what they did in this series is completely and utterly laughable. Thanks for playing. Don't hate the playa, hate the game. Why fight about who we want more? Why not just get both. Play Dunn in RF and Griffey in CF. Sure our outfield defense would be absolutely horrible, and we'd have to gut our farm system to get them both, but boy it would be worth it. :D

    I'll be at Friday's game as well. I hope it's his first day back and pitching. I would love to be there when he gets his standing ovation. He's worked his tail off to get back. He deserves it.

    CUBS WIN!!! Great game all-around, minus Hill and Fontenot of course. It's great to see Lee hitting homeruns and Aram has become amazing with the glove. We just keep winning series!
