  1. Hope he does amazing in the playoffs, but I won't shed a tear not seeing him on the roster next season.
  2. What about the weekend games?
  3. What makes you think it will be announced at 4? In Olney's chat today, he said he got an email from an MLB exec stating that game times would be announced by 4 PM EST. (It's not 4:15 EST) Doesn't that mean they should have been announced by now? It's past 4pm ET.
  4. http://arizona.diamondbacks.mlb.com/ari/ticketing/postseason_2007.jsp Still looks like plenty of tickets available.
  5. The Boss must be pissed that the Cubs are in his time slots again.
  6. EAMUS CATULI!!! :-s i'm confused, although thats not uncommon. http://chicagocubsonline.com/images/lvbc.jpg It's just outside of Wrigley. Eamus Catuli means "Go Cubs" (actually, Go little bears). The numbers represent (from left to right) how many years since a division championship, how many years since a National League Pennant, and how many years since a World Series title.
  7. $300 million will come in the first 5 seconds of the broadcast. The others will follow Bartman and the Goat.
  8. Love the work and love the highlights, but I can't stand that remix song. "We're building up a dynasty" after giving the 5 seasons we've been to the playoffs in the last 25 years? Come on. There are others, but that one drives me nuts.
  9. It's definitely going to. The D'backs still have tickets available. I'm guessing there are a bunch of Cubs' fans buying tickets now and making plans for a trip to Arizona.
  10. You'd have to start Lilly the first game to have him go on 3-days rest for Game 4. If he's pitching game 2, then he's only getting 2-days rest. I'd actually have preferred to start Lilly in game 1 and let him go in game 4 if we're going with a 3-man rotation. Lilly is more suited to go on short rest than Z is, and Lilly proved that he can do well on 3-days rest as well. I also worry about Z being way too pumped up for game 1.
  11. I'm guessing they'll be pretty expenisve. Pretty, pretty expensive.
  12. Baseball is number 1 by far for me. College football comes in 2nd, with pro football following way behind.
  13. This sounds more like it. Put up 30 minutes ago.
  14. Why would Fox put those times up then? Stupid Fox. First Fox News, now this.
  15. This is wrong, I checked the Yankees and Red Sox sites and they all have day games on there as well. Someone has to play at night. Wait for the report on MLB or ESPN, Fox Sports blows That better be the case. I'm going to be furious if the Cubs don't play night games this coming weekend.
  16. Gametimes announced :wall: Wed: 2pm CT Thurs: 2pm CT Sat: 12pm CT Sun: 2pm CT
  17. I'm not opening a bunch of VWR's at work, so looks like I'm out of luck. I might open one window and see if I hit the lottery, but I'm not counting on it.
  18. Shouldn't it be official with the end of play yesterday? Season is 162 games. The Rocks/Pads game is basically the first game of the playoffs.
  19. I'm guessing this thread is going to be 30 pages before the game even starts. GO CUBS!!
  20. You don't even need to look on Ebay yet. Tickets are still available at diamondbacks.mlb.com
  21. Just curious, but why? I wish other people would explain why they're rooting for the Padres or Rockies like I did. :P Yeah, seriously. Who likes the Pads? I understand why Raisin would like to see the Cubs/Pads because he could make the trip to San Diego pretty easily to see them, but why do others want the Pads to win? I can't think of many other teams in the majors that I could care less for than the Padres. Right up there with the Washington Nationals. They are about as meh as it gets, IMO.
  22. I have to say, I'm definitely rooting for the Rockies. Helton deserves to make it to the playoffs. Poor guy has been on some awful teams over the years.
  23. Also, we can pretty much throw away the season series record against the D'backs, considering we didn't have DLee in the first series and didn't have Soriano in the 2nd series.
  24. Having a terrible offense and a decent pitching staff and ending up with 90 wins? So explain how the Cubs are soooo superior to us. You guys only scored like 40 more runs than us, not whole lot. We have the 7th best SP ERA. .5 behind CHC .6 from being the 2nd best in MLB. Do you realize that that's quite a bit? Not really when you're 90-72 compared to 85-77 in the best division in all of MLB Besides Colorado, the rest of the NL West's offenses are below average.
