  1. Thank you for taking some pitches. The whole team should be required to take strike one until Dontrelle figures out where the plate is.
  2. 1-2-3 inning! I can't believe it's the fifth already. Hurry the hell up, Cobs!
  3. Willis is averaging 16 pitches per inning, which expands out to 114 in 9 innings. 144. You and your "math". Leave me alone. I guess I'm not as accurate doing math in my head as i like to think.
  4. Willis is averaging 16 pitches per inning, which expands out to 114 in 9 innings.
  5. A pitcher who receives an average of 6 runs of support per game, yet has managed to still lose 15 times with his 1.6 WHIP has faced one over the mimimum thru four. Good effing job, jackasses.
  6. DAMMIT!! Take some more pitches, retards. Dontrelle is not a good pitcher, and he's not accurate. Give the guy some rope and watch him hang himself already.
  7. I posted graphs for three games, one of which was in the last two weeks.
  8. It's the 3rd freaking inning. 90% chance that the marlins win the game... not liking those odds http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v483/cubbybear314/Random%20Cool%20Shit/20070625_Rockies_Cubs_0.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v483/cubbybear314/Random%20Cool%20Shit/20070629_Brewers_Cubs_0.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v483/cubbybear314/Random%20Cool%20Shit/270917116_Reds_Cubs_51202565_lbig.png I don't like it either, but stranger things have happened this year. It's the third inning and the offense has been good lately. I'm definitely one to jump off a cliff prematurely, but I think we have good reason to keep our heads just a little longer.
  9. The wntire team is 7-13 tonight with a walk. And they've hit a few doubles and the sac fly, but they've also had some bloop hits. You obviously can't take anything away from them, but 7-13 is also inflating how well they've performed.
  10. With the exception of Hermeda, the Marlins really aren't hitting Lilly that well. The Cubs offense has also shown this month that they can wake up and put up some real numbers. If the Cubs can pull to within 4-2 by the end of the sixth, this game is well within reach.
  11. Because of the righty-lefty advantage, dude.
  12. Marlins have been there in my book since 10-14-03.
  13. Naw, a better solution is to confront them directly. I just wish somebody would do that instead. Well, since I'm in St. Louis and they're in Miami I think that emailing is the best route to take. Seriously though, I know they said their email address earlier in the game, I just didn't catch it. Anyone? If no one got it, there are two more games in town, and the archive broadcast will have it. You'll be able to get your two cents in.
  14. 30 runs in the last three games. This one is hardly over. Marlins will have to do more than that if they're going to put this away.
  15. 2-2, two doubles. Alright Cubs, welcome back to reality. Wake the hell up and win this game.
  16. You have got to be effing kidding me. How ridiculous is that. I'm sick of the Cubs getting all the breaks.
  17. That doesn't surprise me. Seriously, how is that relevant at all? When we play Atlanta do we show replays of the NLDS? No. Did Atlanta suffer a historically colossal collapse which still gets plenty of mention nationwide to this day, paving the way for us to go on to a World Series victory? I don't fault them showing this. Get used to it. The closer the post season is to returning to Wrigley Field, the more prevalent the 03 NLCS will become. Just because all of the media are idiots, doesn't make it right. I'm not really complaining, it's just played out and pretty lame. It's not right, but I blame the demand more than the supply. People can't get enough of the Cubs and their choke jobs.

  19. He's been on the road lately, trying to get more work in before the end of the season. He was in Arkansas last night.
  20. That's really the only aspect of this game that could possibly have any appeal to a potential TV audience. There are hundreds of people in south Florida who are being mildly amused by those replays. Let them have their fun.
  21. His WHIP was above 1.6 coming into the game, with an ERA closer to 6 than to 5. Color me not shocked in the slightest that he is perfect thru two.
  22. Santo has an enormous mancrush on him as well. Yea I'm listening to him tonight and he's definitely toting him pretty hard. Pat also just brought up the Ramirz GS from 03 that got all that depressing pregame talk started.
  23. Lilly continues to slidify my mancrush on him.
