We seem to at least challenge decent teams so we might lose in 4 The Cards sucked and backed into October and you know what happened. The White Sox backed into October in 2005 and we saw how that turned out. Plus, we generally play well against good teams. It's suckfests like the Marlins that give us trouble. The Brewers also won the first two games of the series and won the series. The Cubs have already lost the series with a chance to get swept tomorrow. Advantage: Cubs. Baby steps. It's not over yet. Advantage Cubs for sure. Agreed. Brewers came into this series unable to accept 2 of 3. They're also unable to accept 2 of 4 from SD, but it's (hopefully!!) going to happen too. By advantage Cubs I meant that the Cubs have choked harder. ahh, gotcha. my bad.

Brewers won their series. Cubs didn't. If they Cubs won 2/3 this season would be over. That's true, but we also went into these last 6 games thinking that if the Cubs could just avoid a sweep each of these last two series, they'd be golden. This cards win tonight ([-o<) makes that scenario fact. No Marlins or Reds sweep = 1-game playoff at worst, and that's only if Milwaukee manages to sweep the pads.
