Fly out to Fuku, throw home took a bad hop over soto as weeks plowed through him, runner that advanced to third on the play took home on the bad hop, backup from dempster didn't prevent him from scoring.
Some people have, you know, jobs. ;) I'll gladly be blowing off my job for the weekends when the Cubs ... WTF is this emergency alert crap?! couldn't they have done this before the game?!!!@#$! Here's an emergency... I'm missing the damn game!!!
Not necessarily defensive. It sounds to me like he's getting pissed off because every time he makes a move someone second-guesses him. I think once we can get into a groove he will relax but right now we're still searching for our first win and everyone is already overreacting. That's more what it seemed like to me. Except rather than being pissed off about being second-guessed, it seemed like he was annoyed at the fact that people were trying to bait him into saying something worth printing about the reason behind the switch, when Riot first and Sori second was the switch and now he's returning to normal. I thought the media was pretty obnoxious through that whole thing.
The clutch in my car just started slipping and I thought this thread was going to present a way I could save some of the $1300 or so it would cost to replace it.
I was originally pissed off that I have to leave for work in middle of this one, but I'll be glad to get in the car and read about this one in the morning. Goodnight everyone. Stupid Cobs.
He stole it off Hart, not Soto. Soto wasn't the problem although he really is looking poopy. Yea, he fired a bullet to second, a little offline, but it was way late anyway, same for the one to third. Can't blame those on the catcher.
The point of the switch was to allow Hart to stay in the game an extra inning without batting. This wouldn't have happened if they switched out Theriot. Please don't confuse that as me saying the switch was anything other than stupid.
