  1. The Cubs need to start hitting/scoring again. 87 wRC+ in Sep.
  2. Bad news is that the Pirates won 8 out of the last 10.
  3. I should have added "if the Cubs won't make it there". Yeah, you're right. Neither of them make the NLCS would be nicer, but I think at least, one of them would. I think the Cubs have the chance to win the WC. After that, who knows how it goes.
  4. I hate the Dodgers the most, and the Brewers next. So, best case for me is that the Brewers beat the Dodgers. Then, the Brewers won't win the WS.
  5. Aside from Holmes, they're pretty much in the same ballpark, that include Assad and Peterson. Maybe, Boyd and Shota are slightly better than the rest, but it all depends on how they'll pitch in the next 3 weeks.
  6. I think the pitch calling is underrated. That makes them very predictable, sometimes, and make them easy to hit. My guess is that the coach (Hottovy), the pitcher and the catcher discuss about the strategy for the next game together. Buy, during the game, the catcher is the most important, because they call most pitches. Of course, the pitcher has to pitch the way it's called, but no pitcher can do that 100% of the time.
  7. The last 2 months with the Jays, Gausman's ERA was over 6.00. So, we can say he improved, after the trade. He's given up a lot more HR's as a cub, though.
  8. That's because of the Pedro's error, though. I'm not saying he's good again, but I can't blame him on that one.
  9. Gausman HR/9 = 2.19 since he joined the Cubs. Shota HR/9 = 1.90, whole season.
  10. They could be worse. Webb was the only one who sucked tonight. But, I agree bring Cabrera and Miller up.
  11. WTF, Shaw. He sucks against RHP. He couldn't even bunt + a stupid challenge.
  12. Don't know who's going to pitch next, but we can't blame our pitchers tonight. Get a W.
