    Before Schwarber re-signed, many fans talked about getting him back. It's pretty obvious he fit the team better than other FA (Tucker, Bichette, Bregman, Bellinger, Alonso...) Well, Tucker could be a good option, but he wasn't affordable, and what we saw in the 2nd half, many of us didn't want him back, especially for the price. That said, I don't think the Cubs wanted to offer 5 yrs for an aging DH. Schwarber's wRC+ with RISP is 204 this year.😅

    I think its tough for any SP to prepare (mostly, mentally) for a start 3 days in a row. So, I think it's a good move not to start Shota today. And, hopefully, Cabrera bounces back. Senga has been bad. We should win this.

    Personally, I like Happ better than Seiya, but I agree I want them to keep Seiya. He should help the team more than Happ in the next few seasons. That said, I would be surprised, if they offer him a 4yr/$92M. I agree that is probably a fair contract, but I think it'll be more like 3yr/$60M. Not sure if Seiya takes it, though sounded like he wanted to stay.

    I would assume every one of us loves our team. I don't pretend like I know baseball really well, but I have my own opinions, just like everyone here. Sometimes, we agree and disagree. That's just how it goes. And, that's all good, if you ask me.

    Isn't it really nice to see Seiya's fWAR (1.7) is much better than Tucker (0.8)?😄

    Boyd pitched for South Bend today. 4 innings (59 pitches), 7K's, 0 ER

    I'm watching Mets (Peralta) vs Phillies (Sanchez). I didn't know Peralta hasn't been good this year. He couldn't even finish 3 innings (10 ER, 2 runs after he left), and his ERA is now 4.83.

    The Cubs made Varland's fWAR jump from 1.8 to 2.0. Now, he has the highest fWAR among relievers.

    Looks like every NL Central team is losing/lost today, except for the Cubs. The Padres are down 2 in the 7th, too. I didn't know Miz pitched today. I missed it. I watched the Astros / Imai. He was OK. Looks like Cam Smith is becoming a good OF.

    Yeah, I agree. Over the last 30 days, he's been the worst hitter, worse than Nico and Dansby.
